Got my tabard yesterday! Heh, copy of the previous post :P it was really mage AF heavy glacier, 2 brd, 2 rdm and 1 whm. I still can't believe I won against 5 other rdm with only 777. \^_^/ LS was joking about it that with that kind of lot I should auto-win it anyways. :P Only the hat to go for 5/5. /em crosses fingers for Wednesday's Xarca run, can't be more than 3 other rdm who have enough points for it.

This fast cast is yummy, I couldn't believe how fast teleport went off with AF1 hat and AF2 body. ^_^

Alright I Guru'd Jlejeune and then watched them get Sage'd again in front of me...

I'm soo jealous, I haven't seen a hat drop first person in 2years... 2 dropped the rare run I wasn't here, with the secound one with me as first loter.

Anyway, my yesterday accomplishment is tanking ultima as rdm/nin without dying the whole fight. I took 2 citadel in the face and manage to recover from both.
Las time we did it, I did my first try as rdm, and ate a 2000+ citadel even in magic reduction gear... I was lightday... :D
A made a few change to my tanking gear between those 2 tries, but nothing drastic (like more -2magic %, and 20hp and +4enmity)

We downed it in like 30min with 13 people... It was hairy at the end but we managed nicely.

I want to try to tank stuff like chariot in salvage now... I'm pretty sure it isnt efficient at all, but I just want to try it :x .

I would love my ls to move to jol or jormy, I know we have the skill, but we certainly don't have the number (for add management :/ ). I want to tank those stuff badly ^^.

I'm a very proud Rdm :) i solo'd Rank 2-3 Dragon, while not that hard, it was still very cool :).

All on video too. including me trying to ask my brother who was there for to watch for Protect II and him calling me a cheat :D

Tonight I just beat maat for my lb5 as rdm. I'm 1/3. I lacked a good strategy til I went to dynamis and lvled up elemental magic, my enfeebs were 260 already so I knew that wouldn't be too troublesome. I felt more comfy once my elemental magic was 200, then I waited for a few hours til it was darksday. I stocked up on 2 vile elixers, one a +1, melon pie +1, int potion, and yagudo drink. I used one of the viles after I fully buffed myself, then ran in and slept maat and dispel etc. From then on it was a very slow sleep/nuke process. But I managed to get it done in 6 min. I'm happy, considering a lot of jerks on Ifrit told me not to bother and to lvl up a different job.

Got the killshot on Dynamis Lord after CS Stun-down timed out, and he was @ 1% and resummoning Ying/Yang.

RDM's shouldn't ever nuke, it's a waste of MP. /sarcasm

my RDM nuke kit is pretty solid, I'm missing two skill pieces (merciful/nashira crackows) that would help w/ resists vs NMs, but have good dmg pieces where I don't have skill. (283 skill with +19 MAB and +42 INT from gear, and I'm a taru w/ INT merits.)

My LS jokes I'd have more fun XPing RDM @ puddings than I would in melee zerg PTs. I can't say I haven't thought about it. ;)

(besides, Novio RDM at pudding camp has the potential for awesome /wrist BLM action.)

Can any of you give some tips on what is best for a rdm to do on Omega/Ultima fights?

getting my duelist hat after a streak of luck.

Coming back from work late night, get home, see ppl happen to be in xarcabard. i hop in. While im trading hourglass to the markings they kill the RDM NM. the other rdm gets all full of joy of getting the hat after 2 months of gimp RDM making. Then i had to burst his bubble and make him pass my hat bahaha. Since i'm the one with highest points in queue, I lot and get it after 1 year of dynamis.

Pure luck i say. Sweet piece of head nevertheless. I still can't believe it.

PS: after dynamis, the hat didn't save my LS from getting raped by Vrtra haha. too much adds

Tonight I just got my optical hat. It was rather hellish, but I think it was worth the effort for when I sub nin for hunting purposes. =)

Been working on subjobs, got the ever standard NIN to 37 last night, now to DRK and BLU.

Big month for my Red Mage!

Red Mage Merits: O All Red Mage applicable catagories capped.
Relic Hat: O Still stunned.

My greatest RDM accomplishment would be in one day I got my Duelist Gloves and then immediately beat Maat for the first time in 13 tries. And it took me long enough since RDM is basically my only job and I've played since the American release.

Got Storms of Fate done yesterday, which means I should probably be doing apocalypse nigh sometime after the new year.

Got Relic Gloves and Joyeuse in the same month. I feel accomplished =)

This weekend got Swift Belt and W.Abj.Hands!

I'm really really happy with this setup. It puts me at 940/964, though, so I need to ratchet myself up to level 6 HP in order to have an ideal convert ratio. :/

Well! I finished my HQ staff set today! So that feels really great. I also got some Cursed Finger Gauntlets -1 synthed! All I need now is the actual abjuration XD!

I got a 5.1 Surround System and a KitchenAid Mixer so I can solo some stereo wiring and pancake mixing in style!

What awesome gifts did you other rdms get for christmas?

I didn't get much but its the Quality that counts right ;o? I did get some new clothes and a nice scarf but the big ticket item was i got a new, beautiful Computer. Although, sucky thing is, doesn't ship in until like January 10th or something along those lines ; ;. I can wait though! I can still use this crappy computer :O!
