Some WOE questionsFollow

In my experience, THF is a poor job to solo WoE with. I've tried with THF, I've tried with NIN, I've tried with DNC, I've tried with BST. THF was actually the slowest to kill anything out of those jobs and I did not notice any increase at all in coin drops from TH. In fact I got far less coins due to the fact that THF is so effing slow at killing anything in there. DNC with the ability to self darkness every 30 seconds tore things up, but THF was, unfortunately, rather useless for soloing walk of echoes.

For you, I would suggest trying again as NIN/DNC or if you don't have that NIN/WHM with a stack of echos to remove silence. Gear up for evasion, macro in haste for utsusemi, and you should be good to clear out at least half to maybe 3/4 of a zone solo, team up with one other person and you can usually clear everything except the bosses in most zones.

Conflux 1 and conflux 3 will probably be your best bets unless you team up with a group. Conflux 1 is crabs, the trick to that one is that when you kill a crab a few others come running to where it dies, so kill then move and pick off the crabs as they run toward where you killed the last one. Conflux 3 is antlions, fight them on the stairs, but be sure to kill them at the bottom of the stairs because one or two will come to investigate the dead antlion before moving on, watch out for poison, it's pretty potent, and silence. The albino Antlions will cast break on you at low HP if you're moving away from them to drag them to the bottom of the stairs for the kill so make sure that you have shadows up for that or you could be pretty screwed. also, make sure you have plentiful reraise items because you probably will die quite a few times, but don't let that discourage you, just get back up, wait out weakness and get back to it. you don't lose xp in WoE.

I'm not sure from your post whether you think it's once an earth day or once a game day to enter walk of echoes, but it's only once a game day, starting at 0:00 rather than when you entered last. normally, if you spend the entire 45 mins in a zone you dont have to wait at all to enter another. there is a 30 min cooldown on zones once you leave them, so I usually just bounce from conflux 1 to conflux 3 and back again. That way you basically can just do it continuously for as long as you want.

I wasn't after a dagger when I did WoE, i was after a sword, but I did get 30 birth coins at about the same time i got 30 glory coins so I ended up making a dagger as well. In my experience ruin and decay coins are the most common, and advancement the least common, birth and glory are somewhere in the middle. You'll have a lot of frustration with birth coins not dropping, but don't let it get you down, you'll get them eventually, especially if you can team up with a group going for wins, score in the top 5 and you'll have a chance at pouches with 2-12 coins in them. It took me about a week of 3-4 hrs per day to get my 30 birth and glory coins. It's not going to be quick. It will be horribly time consuming to solo them all. However, for someone in your situation, it is much more doable than a twashtar.

having a Daka +2 I can tell you that without the aftermath THF doesn't have much use for Rudra's Storm inside abyssea. It can do respectable numbers when teamed up with SA TA and AC, but evisceration will usually do much better damage, the 47 base damage is nice for DD purposes though. DNC can get some pretty big numbers out of it through their JAs, one of which was just updated to make it a more feasible WS to use, however, still Evisceration is the better WS to use. Outside of abyssea however, it can surpass dancing edge and evisceration as your biggest damage dealer if you know how to use it and stack it with your JAs. I think you'll find that, while not mindblowingly awesome like other empyrean WSs, it's still fun to mess around with, and in the right circumstances outside of abyssea Rudra's Storm can be your hardest hitter, and the base damage on the dagger is really hard to beat.

Keep at it, don't get frustrated and quit. You'll never get anywhere if you give up now.

Thanks for all the useful information. I have 2 EVA kilas so I will use those along with my AF3+1 set.
One thing though, you mentioned how well the darkness chains worked, I don't have any Mythic WSes.
What would be the next best thing, evis > SB?

Taken that into account should I still go with DNC and WHM or should I wait for my NIN to reach 90 so
I can NIN and WHM it?

Why is there some conflicting information that DNC will find DEX Kila useful in WoE due to evasive mob.
