Coin drops are frustratingly rare sometimes, but don't let it frustrate you to the point of giving up, they do drop, just not very often most of the time. This is not meant to be an easy or fast thing to do. Some people even complain that making a full empyrean weapon is faster and easier than a WoE weapon, it really depends on your reasources and how much time and effort you're willing to devote to it. It's supposed to be hard and time consuming, some of these WSs are godly powerful, and they want you to work for them. You can probably expect 1-2 coins on any given run, maybe 3-4 if you're lucky. And there's nothing to say that any of those coins will be the ones that you need.
In conflux 1 the big crabs will likely rape the hell out of you, so try to avoid them. When you kill a crab usually 1-2 will come running and stay where you killed it, sometimes more, sometimes none. If you get into a situation where you have links or are forced to fight more than one, always fight damask crabs first because their -ga spells are easily interupted by melee attacks and can wipe your shadows. What I did in this situation was fight the damasks first with fan dance up and focused more on keeping myself alive than on killing quickly until I had the crabs down to a more manageable number. As for boxing yourself in, that's something you have to watch out for. Try doing something like this, kill the one crab that's on the lower level and run over to the conflux, grab one of the crabs as it comes down to investigate. If there's only one, kill it in the same place, if there's more than one, kill it at the conflux then go kill the other where you killed the first, rinse and repeat. If a big crab, or a large group comes running, you can also kill in the bushes to the left of the conflux to avoid them. If no more crabs come running, move up to the second level. There may be 1-4 on the stairs, kill them if you can, if you can't you might as well leave because there's not much else you'll be able to do. On the second level I used the stairs going down to the first level where you come in and the broken staircase to the right of the stairs for places to kill and ran between them when the crabs died to wait and see if anything ran toward them. One thing you can do if you get boxed in is aggro most or all of the crabs and let them kill you. They'll reset to their original positions and you can RR, recover and kill the one(s) you left.
Of course, you CAN also try conflux 3, which IS an easier zone to do, with squishier mobs that do not stay where you killed the last one if they come running, they'll simply come to investigate and them move on about their wanderings.
Remember, this is an event that was meant to be done with large groups of people at 75, it may be easily soloable for the most part at 90, but it's still going to have some difficulty to it. You're not going to walk away with your 30 coins after a hour or two. It's going to take you something like 40-50 runs or more to accumulate your 30 coins if you do them all solo. I'm sorry if I gave the impression that you'd be done with little effort in a matter of hours. It will take long LONG hours, a lot of work, and probably many deaths to get this done unless you team up with a group going after zone clears.
