Shijin Spiral or Pummel(outside of abyssea ofc)

Just came back from a break and have been trying to get into VW, mainly doing stuff with friends so I get to come whatever, people have been telling me that spiral is the best non-empy WS(which I'm working on... 17/50 buds and 19/50 fangs) for VW, what is the concensus and/or math pertaining to this. Any help would be appreciated, thanks guys xoxoxoxoxo :3

In my personal experience Shijin Spiral Consistently out damages my Stringing Pummel. However when Stringing Pummel does what it does it spikes higher than SS. I personally prefer SS due to it's plaque effect on the mob. Victory Smite is good w/ Vere-Emp H2H inside Abyssea however outside Abyss it falls short on DMG. Though once again it's the additional effects of the weapon that makes it shine not necessarily the WS it self.

There's actually a bit of discussion on SP n SS in the threads on this page you just need get through the whole tread. Paying Special attention to Anza and Jinte.
