I've been using SS regularly in Dynamis and Abyssea in the past couple weeks, and I'm pretty happy with the below:
Turbo Charger
Barrage Turbine
Scope
Flame Holder
Tension Spring II
Tension Spring I
Coiler
Dynamo
Stabilizer (arguably not helping me if automaton acc is capped, but I'm being conservative here)

Stealth Screen
Auto-Repair Kit II
Auto-Repair Kit I or Flashbulb or Steam Jacket
(Below the line don't affect offense and are really up to you as general utility/defensive choices. Really more up to personal preference.)
A couple notes:
- Barrage Turbine is strong, especially if you're able to get multiple Wind maneuvers up before deploy when it's ready. But the one downside is that if the puppet consumes wind maneuvers to Barrage mid-fight, and then has TP to WS, you may be left with Fire or Thunder dominant and get Arcuballista or Daze. Hard to avoid that happening at least occasionally if you're mixing in Fire/Thunder. Really too bad this wasn't an automaton JA on a timer (a la Flashbulb, Shock Absorber) that required a Wind maneuver up (and strength varied by amount of maneuvers) but didn't consume maneuvers when it was used. Oh well. Still worth using, but not as perfect as it could have been.
- I typically go very heavy on the Wind maneuvers. Haste, R.Acc, trigger for Armor Shatterer, and gives me more chance of having multiple wind up when Barrage triggers mid-fight. If you've been idle for a few minutes you can know to expect Barrage, so load up on Wind before you deploy. I try to mix in a Fire maneuver before pettp=100 for Flame Holder, and occasional Thunder.
