I really hope that Fold recast is not a type-o, three minute Fold would be fantastic.

Depending on the percentage likelihood of Snake Eye instantly giving you an 11, I can definitely see keeping it at 5/5. Even though it does somewhat knock the legs out of one of the primary uses of Snake Eye (rolling onto a Lucky #). Once ya get that 11 though, it's all uphill for more 11 goodness to follow.

So my best guess for optimal merits after the change;
5/5 Snake Eye 1/5 Fold 1/5 Loaded Deck 3/5 Winning Streak
Which is coincidentally what I'd expect most Corsairs to have already.

Seems like it won't mess with using snake eye for lucky numbers, since it said that it's only buffing the chance for XI on rolls that "show 5 or higher". I'd take from that "If you're at 5-10, snake eye will have an increased chance of rolling whatever number you need to hit 11 in one go", possibly something like;
Use snake eye ->
- If current roll is 1, 2, 3, or 4, roll 1
- If current roll is 5, check %, if check succeeds, roll 6, if it fails, roll 1
- If current roll is 6, check %, if check succeeds, roll 5, if it fails, roll 1
- If current roll is 7, check %, if check succeeds, roll 4, if it fails, roll 1
- If current roll is 8, check %, if check succeeds, roll 3, if it fails, roll 1
- If current roll is 9, check %, if check succeeds, roll 2, if it fails, roll 1
- If current roll is 10, roll 1

My guess is that they'll probably go with either 15%, 20%, or 25% per merit, depending on how nice they feel. that'd give 60%/80%/100% chance for 11 respectively. With a 5 minute timer, I really doubt they'd give it a 100% chance at 5/5, but I wouldn't put it past them, either.

I don't really agree with "you need more than 2 fold merit to roll aggressively", before the update or not.
I'm almost always carrying one No.11 in VW and able to double No.11 or lucky number in VW just because the down time is so long...pt always takes 100 years to gather, there are ppl relog after each pop etc. And there are plenty of time to carry 1 No.11 roll while waiting for everyone to gather by overwritting every none-11 rolls every 45 sec(or some ppl just try to bust then zone out to erase bust). Once there's one No.11, PR recast reset from fold merit is pointless.

I guess it's probably faster with fold merit to reset PR, and may be useful if you're in a hurry, but winning streak for longer duration is too hard to sacrifice(since I'm not going to have enough time to do double 11 again after NM popped, so the longer the duration, the better buff everyone's getting)

Also, considering relic pants augment needs snake eye to have higher activation rate, still gonna keep it 5/5 I think.

Only 5% per merit increase with Snake Eye merits seals it for me, swapping for 5/5 Winning Streak and 3/5 Snake Eye.

Snake Eye on a 5min timer is just too valuable to risk it gambling for a low percentage chance of hitting XI, so you wouldn't want to use it to get the first XI. Which leaves the following situations for wise use of Snake Eye:

1) The obvious one, hitting X and using Snake Eye to lock in XI (which only requires 1 merit for 100% success rate)
2) Rolling off an unlucky, ESPECIALLY if you already have one active XI so you don't have to rely as much on Snake Eye to get a good roll up (can just keep busting until you get the 2nd XI)
3) Just straight up gambling for a faster second XI once you already have one XI up, since then you don't really need Snake Eye timer to get locked into XI cycle.

2 and 3 at least mean there is some benefit to having extra merits. In particular, using SE to roll off unluckies is something CORs have always done and now there's a chance you'll go straight to XI. But honestly I don't see that, plus the chance for a "free" Snake Eye from relic pants +2 (4% chance of immediate timer reset per merit) as outweighing longer roll duration (28sec per merit with Empy+2 hands/Relic+2 head) on every single roll.

So far I've done about 60 Snake Eye attempts, excluding rolls that were at 10 beforehand for obvious reasons, and out of 60 attempts, 31 were successful at giving an instant 11, so for now I'm inclined to believe that the in-game text is correct about 10% per merit. Of course, this could be a mistake on part of the person who programmed the merit, and this may see an adjustment soon.
