/DNC post update?Follow

I've gone 75-80 having to seek largely in JP primetime (i.e. /WHM county) and have subbed DNC all the way. It's what I get asked to come subbed in dynamis and lower chambers of Einherjar (haven't done Odin with this particular group yet) and the combination of box step-reverse flourish at 80 I'm enjoying a lot. Add in the fact it's got native dual-wield now as well and it's a pretty decent sub if you're not fighting anything veering into the stand outta AOE and shoot territory, or taru-wrangling BLM parties.

Still a predominantly /WHM mindset in JP time but they seem to be tolerant of /DNC as well (although you could set a disembodied corpse's job to COR and they'd get invites at the moment).

Depends on having a shell that see COR as a unique job, rather than a "no one will play BRD, go get on COR/WHM" job though - my old LS was very much one of the latter, and it took a bit of persuasion to get them to let me COR/DNC for dynamises (it then became the requested subjob for CORs at runs), other shells are more enlightened. Tends to be my preferred sub these days 90% of the time as it mixes support/DD well.

It's pretty nifty in Bikini Bay when mages seem to have lost the ancient art of not getting themselves silenced.

Just went out killing some magian trial mobs as 80 COR/DNC. Found out I could self skill chain. Build up 5 step charges, slug shot, reverse flourish and slug shot again for reverberation. Does require joy and m Kris and SAM roll, but cool nonetheless. Who needs Sekkanoki?

Wish I'd had that ability when I was getting WS points for Leaden Salute.
