i was able to gather some additional gear for my smn over the last weeks. maybe it's a helpful information for some of you.

i repeated the mission "An Errand! The Professor's Price" from MKE several times for the peach coral key and next to some crap i got the following items for my smn (and bst):

white slacks - bp-timer -2
(with this trousers, fay crozier, yyr and penance hands/hat you can bring your timer down to cap without need for any dyna-equipment)

silk hat - pet: macc +2
(trading key on ice day seems to help if you want this)

raptor ledelsens (bst) - pet: def. +3 (max. 4)


did the same thing with the amber key from ACP "Gatherer of Light (II)":

beak necklace - pet: attack +4 (max. 5)

brocade obi - pet: macc +3


nice rewards for very few work i think.


since last update i was able to get a summoning belt, a fidelity mantle and lyricist's gonelle (bst) from the new nms. killed nm for spurrer beret few times but no drop yet.

hmm soloed final SCH af fight about a month ago.. also, was camping kreutzet for a friend and it popped but my group wasnt quite there in time... so i decided to claim anyways.. (tired of only getting ToD)i kited Kreutzet for a good 10-15 min in his pop area.. that may not sound like very long to some but i think its hella hard to kite that guy through manticores, and cockatrice w/o movement speed. not to mention Kreutzet hits carby pretty damn hard. oh we went 1/1 on dagger ^^

also, fought Promathia and i brought my smn along... for the records, SMN using shiva rapes Promathia. Kill shot and hello rajas ring :)

Not necessarily a SMN achievement, but I prefer to fish on SMN over any other job as it is always safe with minimal gear.

Obtained my {opal silk} on Tuesday and get my {Ebisu Fishing Rod} on Sunday morning after Conquest update.

I finally got my Royal Redingote after many attempts and I (finally) capped my summoning magic a week ago.

Since this is a "Look waht I did" thread, I would like to add a Look what I saw.

Undead swarm beseiged. NM charms a load of people, random smn uses odin on charmed people. Much death follows

Now if i was that smn, I would be telling/showing everyone "Look what I did"

Because, quite frankly, its both awesome and funny.

Finished all of ToAU storyline within 3 weeks, organizing completely by myself, then got Odin and Alexander, likewise being completely organized by myself. I think I need a break now...

Nashira Gages: O !!! /joy ^^

First, I got Beacon Cuffs yesterday - 1/7. They're not the greatest, but they're better than the Austere Cuffs I was using, and they'll do until I can get Nashira. Never again do I want to camp a fog-based NM with a low drop rate, lol.

Then after getting Beacon Cuffs, I figured it was about time I start camping Lizardtrap. I got to Aydeewa to find the NM was up, so I claimed him and went to town. Fenrir's Crown fell on the first kill ^^

Lastly, I kinda stumbled my way into a CoP static and went from 4-2 up to 8-1 in almost no time. I now have Sea access! Now I just need to find a Sea LS ^^

Basically a +5 MAB over my Fay weapon addind 3.2% dmg to my avatar BP2 merit nukes, probably 4.3-4.4% increase in dmg for those without MAB fay weapon.

Got a new Diamond Earring today.

Just need a few more items and it is complete!

Went from 10k into 75 to capped EXP into 80 in under 5hours in an Abyssea EXP PT. :)

Got to perp-4 staff for FEnrir/Diabolos/Dark Spirit. 188 slime kills to go; these are soooooooo slow. Hopefully I can be fully done with this staff in a week, because i plan on doing between 50 and 75 kills a day if possible..

Then its off to garuda's perpetuation staff -.-

Just started 2nd to last trial for garuda staff. So close to -5 yet so far away :/

(And then I get to start the 1st slime portion of the fen/diab staff) /sadface

The dark perpetuation cost I started on 7/23, I finally got it to the -5 Yama's Staff today.

So freakin' pumped. Not going to -6 it until I get garuda and shiva to -6, and shareera MAB+11.


Now off to finish my Garuda trial i started, on the 150 undeads!...

Then sheeps, ugh. sheeps.. ugh.. caedarva mire. ugh. lol

Soloed Ironclad Cleaver (Attohwa's iron giant). :D Someone had zoned it to #01, beats me why they did it, but I decided I'd try and take it back home. It was so easy to kite, that I figured that hey, why not try and kill it? After some false starts ("stop @#$%ing en-stunning and en-amnesia'ing every predator claws!"), I settled for Levi (immunity to amnesia) and spinning dive, because magical pacts weren't doing so great. In total it took around 40 mins pre-rage (it must've not reset since it had been dragged all the way over to #01 since it raged so soon) and 50 mins post-rage to kill it.

It was reasonably easy pre-rage, Levi held hate well even with throwing some bio 2s at it, spinning dives were doing 900-2000 (with razing ruins atma) and it paths horribly around that hill where pulse martello is. Somewhat more problematic to kite when there's Bastion going on since I didn't want to MPK people with it. I think there might be a pinspot on that hill, because at one point it was making a huge detour, and then when I moved a bit it turned around and headed back the same way, but I didn't look into it much since I wanted to be far away to resummon.

Post-rage it got ugly. Levi's accuracy went through the floor, I'd often have to kite a good 5 minutes around the hill that he could hit even once and establish enough hate for spinning dive, and giant's hits started doing 300-500 normal, 800+ critical on levi.

I think it'd be a cake with 2 or 3 summoners. ^_^

My friend and I just finished this trial in Abyssea La Theine. We tried both the Irate Sheep (original) and the Black Merinos (ToAU). Neither of them spawns chigoes, but the Black Merinos have that AOE paralyze move which was rather annoying and slowed down kills a lot, so we ultimately settled on the Irate Sheep. It took anywhere from 1-3 Pred Claws to kill an Irate Sheep with Razed Ruins + Minikin atmas. They probably go down faster in Caedarva, but you won't have the 10 refresh and I think they spawn chigoes there which is really annoying.

Also won Xarc today, not that it's especially hard anymore.

Began testing today with my 5/5 Caller's +2... amusingly, the other SMN in the LS with much less gear put up a 5200 Heavenly Strike, which is leading to my current investigation of where I missed a damage cap or did something totally wrong. >_> With 300 TP, my Heavenly Strike maxed at 4972....

Soloed my first NM ever, Tonberry Lieje, multiple times until getting my Caller's Sash :)

Did my biggest ever Predator Claws last night against Mickey Mouse (Micanhautlwhatsiname) last night. 6082. No brew or anything, just normal atma. Got a screenshot of that but I'm at work and can't remote in to my PC at home. Was using RR, Stronghold, and MM. Mickey was hovering around 90%, being his annoying self. Then he made the mistake of trying to cast Quake and went from 90% to 0% in about 5 seconds as an impatient group of 12 people unleashed on him all at once. It was a thing of beauty.

For the first Lieje pop, my husband came out on NIN/RNG and showed me which one was the PH. After that, I just killed the 3 that wander the bowl until I got Lieje since their paths overlap enough that I couldn't tell which exact one was the PH.

Nope, this is all atma... I don't have any AF3+1 for SMN, let alone any AF3+2. Nothing special outside of a Sacrifice Torque and relic armor.

Here's another one. Still can't believe it... I think I must have rolled three 900+ in a row in the crit check.

My new motto is "Garuda is a better DD than you."
