I apologize if this has been answered, I tried looking through the previous threads and didn't seem to find a comparison between the two. What my question is, if you had a Nuevo Coselete, and a Zahak's mail, if you strickly fulltimed one of them, which would win? Running full merits if that is information that matters. Reason I ask this is I am looking to only have one. If Zahak's wins, great cause then I get to remake Nuevo for pld, if Nuevo does . . . I'll wait for iron ram. Oh and the coselete would be running 10 acc and 3% crit. I also have and utilize Cletine for Drakesbane.
So basically question is, full time would Nuevo (10acc/3%crit)or Zahak's win with cletine.

EDIT: To be a little less cranky, A drg hauby (Acc+10, Att+10)will outdo all other options in most cases, but an ACP bodypeice for PLD with FC+5 and either Enm+5 or Acc+10 is incredibly hard to replace (in terms of general utility).

Basically the 10 STR 10 DEX translates to 7.5 Acc 7.5 Att. Not only does ACP body have More accuracy and attack on it if setup that way, it has 5STR and 5DEX on it as well, for a total of around 13/14 Acc/Att depending where your dex or str sits before hand. That's almost double Zahaks for those of you playing at home.
The reason I said look at the thread is you can take from it one basic fact : If you aren't at capped Acc, acc will beat everything else it can go up against 99% of the time, and there is a whole Snipers ring the acp body has over the zahaks.

Yeah I agree there about the pld acp option. I don't use my pld much, but for a body, not mush has that much emnity let alone fast cast. I currently run the 10 Att and Acc NC, but, I dunno, drg seems to be my new calling.

Nothing like having a new calling that greatly benefits from the same gear though. Ask me how many jobs use Haubergeon. The answer is all of them that are on it. 10 Att should destroy 3crits and beat out 2%DA (esp since DA is a gamble on every swing where as Att is always on every swing). Take that same +10Att +10 Acc, slap it on your DRG, and profit.

The 5 more Dex helps with crit hits + the 3% crit hit that you get from the body armor already. For Drakesbane thats insaine. The reason that a lot of jobs use Haubergeon is because they don't get the added acc from job traits. Zahak's Mail is made for pure dmg. If you think you need acc, go to this website

You are piling on as much Acc in places where you can get large chunks of it so you can put haste in other slots (at least for merits) The idea is to hit the acc cap first and then slowly trade out smaller pieces of acc (feet/hands/belt only because swift has some acc on it) for haste. Don't ding 75 and go "LOL I WEAR TURBAN AND DUSKS AND BELT NAO". Granted DRG has a lot of breathing room being a 2h with acc bonus traits, but you should still go for the more consistent hitting and the bonuses the apply all around, instead of "The chance of it criticaling is 3% more than it was, but it isn't guaranteed"

Meh. Homam Gambieras, Swift Belt, Askar Head, Love Torque, Rajas, Black Tathlum, Homam Cosciales, Assault Earring. That's +36 ACC with what you would be tping in a near optimal setup. I don't even think it's an argument of whether supporting a crapload of acc on your body peice at this point against, say a general mob like collobri. It's really 3% crit and 5 STR versus that hauby you've been wishing for all your life (just the attack+10 on it ;p).

The thing is, not every DRG has access to Homam, Love Torque, and esp. Black Tathlum.
Working towards it is a good goal, but in the mean time, ACP body is fantastic.
