I hate vunkwhatever islet(s). However, I had a most interesting campaign there yesterday. Was on DRG/RDM and happily swinging away at the dumb fortification when whoomph.. a horde of gnole pop right on us.. I avoid the first batch of aggros but then someone with aggro bring one near where I've run off to and dies. I wind up getting the gnole and run to find a safe spot to attack/die (my wyvern was amnesia'ed by an imp so I couldn't immediately cure myself).
Amnesia wears just in time (around 200 hp) and I get of a cure breath of 350 hp (Saurian Helm). And so it began. I slowly started whittling away at the mob while curing myself (gnoles attack pretty fast and have quite a high double attack rate). With Ethereal ring, I was getting back 10 mp for ever 350 dmg I took and lost 6 mp (barspell) for every HB. So it was a net gain on mp throughout the fight and I was feeling all warm and fuzzy.
About 5 mins into the fight, I'd got the gnole down to 25% hp.. and then... it howled! 3900 hp cured! And so it began.. oh wait.. I already said that. We did this back and forth for 20 mins.... it was the most fun I've ever had.. and the first time.. I've ever been stalemated by an rpg...
Neways, during those 20 mins, others joined in 1 at a time or so and after a while got bored and left and then someone joined in that fed it too much tp I guess cuz its tp moves started coming a lot more regularly.. It stunned me and then used another tp move and I was dead. Well that campaign battle ended, I got a raise and got 2k exp.. good times.

what i'm wondering is, what would happen if you drove a diamond car into a diamond wall. everyone knows that diamond is the hardest metal known to man, so the results would be catastrophic. or would they?

Diamond can't be scratched by anything but diamond, but can be shattered quite easily. So diamond car + diamond wall = driving a glass car through a glass sheet. Except... A lot more expensive and less shiny, which is always a minus.
