Str will always win out unless the attack is significantly higher, or if you are attack capped from meat / brds.
If not you’d see lots of people in the +5 attack ring rather than Str. However, the ToAU ring is very nice if you’re having acc problems on WS as well, or if you’re in assault/salvage (in which case it becomes _the_ best 2h melee ring you can wear).

I'm currently a 65 DRG (who's had trouble getting good parties) and I decided to duo with a PUP friend to 75. (Hooray for double the lol action) I camped as 65DRG/BLU with a 75PLD/NIN. Just between us the palceholders were cake. I saved tp when for para. Ose pops after an hour and as we're resting up before taking him on, our TH3 THF friend logs on. We claim, get Ose to 35% or so (twas a decently long fight) and she gets there and help kills. 1/1 /hurray
Now to get him his... and 2 other DRG friends who need it too. Ose and I are going to be good buddies.

Grats on the AJ. I've pretty much given up on it since I don't have enough time to actually sit there and camp it these days. Looks like I'll be buying a Barone body.
I guess you can call this an achievement...I've been main healing assauts for my 4-man static as DRG/BLU. We have a RDM but he deals with pulling, debuffs, buffs, haste/refresh cycle, sleeping, and tossing out regens. My damage isn't as high as it can be we have a WAR and MNK to handle that while I keep them both up. Plus headbutt is too @#%^ing nice, especially for the undead assaults where my damage sucks even as DRG/WAR. It stuns a good 80% of the time which is always nice. I've been able to stun AOE Drain a few times but only because I got lucky lol.

I am also very much interested in seeing how it performs with the end game gears you have on your sig. The last time I heard about someone with a gungnir a few years back, the numbers reported were a bit dissapointing, but i believe it was due to the fact the rest of his gears were mostly meh.

Notably, many of you will want to kill me for not even bothering it make sure my /rdm is leveled all the way (65Drg/22Rdm) meaning i'm missing, Protect II, Dia II, and Phalanx (in 2.5k xp). But i just wanted to go out and try it while LFP to see just how good i can get it down while being pretty damn gimp.

The pace is actually FAST, as in i actually have to pay attention constantly, i can't even multitask with internets if i need to. I was making about 2.5k/hr without empress band while lfp, which i think is damn good.

But in the end it took 2 Penta's and a little DoT, and the old bastard was dead, lol.
Maat has good defense and DD, but in the end he was {Too Weak}, lol.
Clear Time: 6 Minutes and 6 Seconds
Not excellent by any means, but still not horrible. ^^

Hit 70 tonight and shoved my foot up Maat's old ass. Fight went really smooth. I didn't even have to use my 2hr. Penta > wing > Penta > Jump(can't see animation but it showed up in the log) and it was over. Made a video if it, link in my sig.
I'd like to have a higher quality version out there since youtube sucks for quality, any recommendations?

Beat up Tonberries and Pots for an Uggalepih coffer key (And got a RDM testamony in the process O.o), found the coffer and got my map, beat up Trompe L'Oeil for some quest, died trying to beat up Death From Above (but it was close! I need another pop item...), got my Paintbrush of Souls, beat up the Temple Guardian, and fought my way into Den of Rancor. Next up will be trying to get a Den coffer key & map.
Temple of Uggalepih is a veritable gold mine of fun stuff to do solo as a 60 DRG/WHM! =D

1/1 Divine Might pick up group. Crazy ass fight, but we pulled it off, and my ZM static is almost done w/ sky and moving on to finish Aht's before we tackle CoP's.

Not anything ingame but my nice shiney new pacemaker is doing well and in 4 more days I will be able to take a real bath again. Which is a good thing seeing how im was the first person with this model that the doc did with 4 leads lol (yep out of the 2500 he did before me). Next month its off to gainsville for a week. What real gets you is the small things boy i really miss boobs and beer.
