Is it wrong that I have N. hands in my MH and which has been sitting there for over a year because I'm too stingy to spend 500k on the Cursed Gloves?

Nah, I don't have AF+1. The majority of that year my account wasn't active. I have the gil, but it's hard for me to decide what to put it in. I have RDM that desperately need HQ staves but not enough gil for all of them and I enjoy DRG far more than RDM.

I'd definitely get the Mitts then in this example,
Although, whether you prefer one or the other, are you made to come rdm more often?
I'd say if you dont have ice/earth/dark HQ staves, they should be pretty high priority

I'm almost always RDM for any endgame activity and merit as DRG. I have HQ Ice and I very rarely get sleep resists so I'm probably going to pick up an HQ earth staff.

But... that's one less haste. D:

Defense Down Stribog finished as of Sunday. Thought I'd added this but I hadn't.

The version I had to do the final trial with, with Defense Down +5 (whatever the hell +5 is meant to mean), went off really frequently, though the effect's got to wear off before you can put it on again. I've not done any sort of testing at all with the "+10" version, though a friend who has the same thing on his scythe reckons it's about 40%*, but looks to be less 'cos of the needs-to-wear-off criterion and hitting the mob while it's debuffed.

I can't use a parser on this crappy laptop (because if I try to use windower the game becomes literally unplayable) but as soon as I get to go home I'll run some sort of test if I can't get a friend to do it for me...
...wait, KParser picks up additional effects, right? If not, I can do it out here anyway, just counting by hand.


*I can't tell how he got that, though, it might be eyeballed based on reports of fully upgraded OAT weapons.

After over 2.5 years of ein and much ado, its finally mine! Now my drg looks the part with the rest of my gear ^_^.

Surprising bonus: I HATED my blitzer pants. Didnt match my TP set at all. Well, now with nocturnus and Vfork, it all kinda comes together. The silver weapon with gold trim brings my noctunus and blitzer together so i look like a real knight....with style! I actually like the way i look AND its in awesome gear.......the FFXI universe is outta tilt! Ive gone from the ohat/AJ days to this O_O Stop the press!

Luckily it's the year 2023 and there's only one FFXI server running, so your post tells me all I need to know.

I would estimate that maybe 1 out of every 47 FFXI players I meet understand time zones. The most common response to "yeah, we start at 8 PM PST" is "what's that EST???" People are pretty provincial I guess...

Try soloing a VT antlion during the run to Attohwa, which is more difficult than beating that ENM while using a radar program. I'm not hatin', I'm just sayin' :P

broke my drakesbane record on greater colbiri today :D hit a nice 2685, smashing my old record of 2200~. I then not long after hit a nice 2555. so broke my old record twice in 1 party... woot! :D

This is an achievement that failed to come to fruition:

Killed Odin. Valkyrie's Fork drop. Just as I tried to send in my tell to buy it, I @#%^ing disconnected. I was able to come back no more than 2 minutes later only to find that they had announced the winners. I had more points, I asked the sackholder if I could please get him to just go back and look at the points because I had disconnected before I could even ask for it. He said it was too late, despite there being about 2~3 minutes before the items would drop.
