It doesn't matter what class you are, you can get dragoon no matter what you had when you did the quest.

hmmm kk, but u said that the class u are b4 determines wich wyevern u get, i must say that u miss understod the discription above since it means witch sub job u use, and not wich lvls u have in other jobs
It will make a slight difference, because some of the skills from your first class can be carried over to the second class. So if you use warrior at first and fight with a lance, your dragoon will already be set with maxed combat skills for a good long time (making it a breeze to solo).
