Oddity on Hasso and Seigan

I'll start by saying I main corsair and rarely play samurai. Recently, however, I've been working on that keitonotachi weapon for a 5 hit build. I've noticed seigan has been countering even when third eye is down. And with Hasso, I've been been attacking way more than the 2% DA(gear) I have should be. Also, the second attack seems to be a zanshin attack and is yielding more TP from ikishoten(sp?) merit. I checked wiki(nothing) and tried one of the outdated guilds on here, but I can't find any info on this. Was this buffed in the last update? Is the Unkai Sugemino I managed to attain doing this? What's up? I can't find any info.

if you have the unkai kabuto +1/+2 you get an enhanced Seigan that will allow you to counter even if third eye is not up, so long as seigan is. Another answer is that you could be getting counter procs from atma of the gnarled horn. The Unkai Haidate +1/+2 also enhances hasso, i forget how off the top of my head, could be where your extra effects are coming from. Been a while since I really used my SAM or really even took a look at what the gear does.

In the last update, it was made so that you could zanshin off a hit with hasso up. The rate at which this occurs is roughly 1/4th of your base zanshin rate. Likewise, it was also made so that your counter rate with seigan up was boosted by having a high zanshin rate.

while pulling SAM back up to speed from 85 I've had counters from Seigan with third eye down also. With hasso I've also noticed alot more instances of double attack. At 1st I thought it was a hidden effect from an atma or something, but while redoing Keto trial, I had seigan up alot of times and mobs were dieing from counters with SAM/WHM. I have no AF3+2 at all yet, only have Haidate+1 so far. Idk if that has something to do with the hasso DAs (they were DA's I would hit the 1st attack and miss the second) but doesnt explain Seigan.

Thanks for the info. I could not find it anywhere else. Someone should update the wiki.
