Hey, I've had some weird experiences with VS and Ukko's Fury lately and wonder if anyone have noticed something similar or have an explanation.
I run emp farming in a trio with an Ukko WAR and we have found out Ukko -> VS makes Light, but only occationally. I've never seen anything like it with other WSs, but it seems like 10% of the time we make Light SC (and yes we know how to time SC very good).
Does this have anything particular to do with emp WSs? I'm just a bit confused here...
Most of data is from Dragua, but seems to matter for most monsters we've fought

1) You're not blinking out the SC effects, I assume
2) Ukko's and Smite have identical SC properties, meaning that they can skillchain off each other (as well as themselves) but the Light chain that it produces is a "final" Light chain; meaning that another Light chain cannot be made off of it (this can be easily seen by brewing these WS; a Light chain will only be produced every other WS). Is it possible that when you're trying to do Ukko's > Smite and intending to have Smite close a Light chain, that Ukko's already closed its own "final" Light chain and therefore Smite has nothing to build upon?
2a) I'm also not entirely sure what would happen in the above scenario if Ukko's were to use its secondary property to close Fragmentation off someone else's WS. Not sure if Smite would cause a chain if following Ukko's in this case.

This would be my first guess. Gear shifts can cancel the animation and the chat log so it looks like no SC happened.
