You get asked about that sh*t so often you may aswell right everything you think is relevent and then just link it when such a situation arises where you'd have to write it all out again :/

maybe some advice in helping ppl to theory craft and how to work out haste/delay

Also - (none mathematical) how to get over an additional 100MND for Chi blast would be good, that was bugging me ever since I saw a photo of it. Might just be some kinda hax tho.

i can hit that one without writing a guide:). etudes. 24 from etudes, 10 from mushpots, at least 76 possible from gear (more if you HQ stuff or use that enchantment waist). here's my chi blast gear:

"Kirin's Osode"; 10, (max)
"Geist Earring"; 1, (could be 2)
"Devotee's Mitts"; 5, (could be 6)
"Al Zahbi sash"; 2, (could be 3, or enchanted 10 for 60 seconds)
"Temple crown +1"; 8, (max)
"Sapphire Ring"; 4, (could be 5)
"Geist Earring"; 1, (could be 2)
"Faith Torque"; 5, (max)
"Sapphire Ring"; 4, (could be 5)
"Raptor Strap +1"; 2, (max)
"Melee Cape"; 5, (max)
"Temple Hose +1"; 4, (max)
"Suzaku's Sune-ate"; 15, (max)
"Kirin's Pole"; 10, (max)

total: 76 mind, (could be 82, or 89 with 10 second enhancement)

add 10 from a mushpot and you can hit +100 mind with the lowby etude alone. though, not like there's anything special about +100;;.

by the way, with the above gear, mushpot, 67 base MND (so 153 mind total), my highest chi blast vs kirin was 1510. chi blast is really random. also, i practically never go MNK to anything MNK would chi blast (though i open every proto-omega with a full boost chi bast, /NIN with no mushpot; damage hovers around 800-1000).

You've got some bbcode typos in the first few links.

Kirin vs Togi thread points to a post near the bottom of the thread rather than the first. Also, should be in the gear section.
