Hey guys, I am not really asking for advice on this topic, I just want to see what other thieves use and stuff for TP. I have an idea for my TP set that I currently starting to pursue. First off, I have a pretty solid TP set due to the fact that I lucked into a NNI static and have had pretty good luck.

Aluh Jambiya
Thokcha (STR Path)
Raider's or Staurobow + Acids
Raider's Bonnet
Rancor Collar
Suppanomimi
Brutal Earring
Thaumas Coat
Thaumas Gloves (As funds come available I'll change this to Nonchomp Gloves)
Rajas Ring
Epona's Ring
Atheling Mantle
Twilight Belt
Thaumas Kecks
Thaumas Nails

This set as I said is pretty solid coming in at 26% Haste 5 or 8% DW, 45 STR, 92 atk, 32 DEX, 53 or 56 acc, 6 stp, 3% QA, 9% TA, 19% DA, 5% crit rate and 3% crit damage. I can make small improvements such as Nonchomp Gloves for more DA and STR and Rancor mantle + Crit 3% neck, cant remember the name.

I had an idea though for a new set, and I wanted feedback on it.

Aluh Jambiya
Thokcha (STR Path)
Raider's Boomerang
Skadi Viser +1
Crit +3% neck
Suppanomimi
Brutal Earring
Skadi's Cuirie +1
Skadi's Bazubands +1
Rajas Ring
Epona's Ring
Rancor Mantle
Patentia Sash
Skadi's Chausses +1
Sigyn's Jambeaux

This set DOES NOT have capped haste, only coming in at 21%, however, it comes with 20% DW on it, versus the 8% DW on the previous set. The loss of TP is balanced by the gaining of 17 store TP. So final stats on this set are 21% Haste, 20% DW, 41 STR, 115 atk, 37 DEX, 24 acc, 23 stp, 3% TA, 8% DA, 8% Crit rate, 3% crit damage.

My main concern is if the added attack speed and store TP will make up for the loss of 3% QA, 6% TA and 11% DA. My calculations show the original set getting 4.8 TP per hit, versus 5.4 TP per hit on the second set. That is 12.5% more TP per hit which is significant. Attack speed is also significant with the overall delay reduction on the second set an additional 12-13%. What do you guys think?

switch out patentia sash for twilight belt, and swap sigyn jambeaux for assassin's poulaines +2 and you have my ideal tp set. Twilight + assassin +2 is better than patentia + sigyn. Other than that its a good set.

Been weighing in my mind what you said Melphina and truthfully, if I was going to do a swap, it would be Thaumas Coat in and Skadi Cuirie +1 out. The trade off is similar to the Patentia/Twilight + Sigyn/Assassin's +2 feet, but you get a lot more multi attack out of the deal for just an extra 1% DW to Haste tradeoff.

Actually, it looks like both trades could go either way.

I think the second setup with Thaumas Coat instead of Skadi's Cuirie +1 (no other swaps) is actually the best in no-to-low Haste situations. At least, this is what I posted the last time I looked at THF TP sets: http://www.ffxiah.com/forum/topic/28068/thf-tp-sets-and-assassin-poulaines-2/7/#2164254

I'd recommend just pulling down Motenten's spreadsheets and checking them out for yourself. He has re-worked his THF one recently to account for SA/TA more accurately, I think.
