What do you guys think of it? I always loved Acids, both for my sake and the party/alliance's, does this dagger continue that proud tradition in a way worth practicing? Also, does that additional effect stack with Acids/Dia/Box Step/Everything?

There are two kinds of people in FFXI, those doing the laughing and those who don't know what's funny.
If you can land acid bolts, there probably isn't much point, The consistency of acids should outweigh the slightly higher def down. I don't know the exact proc-rate, of course.
Not sure about the dagger, but I did the sword back in the day and I wouldn't really recommend it (it was easy to do, so I did that trial first). Something is up with DW, it seriously drops the proc rate on these weapons to the point where they aren't really worth much. I will probably never spend the 40 earths and 15 ???'s to update the sword all the way (unless something changes).
