I'm still a bit new to things in Abyssea and WHM is my only job that is 75+ (and will be for a while). I see that the Orison Pantaloons are purchased with 1000 Resistance Credits.

What is the best way to go about this with WHM (currently 78) as my only option? I have friends that can help, but prefer not to ask if I have a good method. I also have no clue how long 1000 credits will take.

Thanks! The rest of the pieces I should be good on!

Go to any bastion in a Scars zone and get smacked around without dying is the best way. And melee. It's like Campaign, but shorter.

Actually WHM is a great job, possibly the best, for getting resistance credits. Here's what you need to know:

Resistance credits are acquired when a bastion monster you have any hate on at all is killed.

For this reason, you want hate on as many mobs as possible. I was able to gain the 3k resistance credits I needed in about a 45-minute span by spamming Diaga on bastion mobs and kiting them in circles until I lose hate, then Cure-spamming the bastion NPCs until I got hate back. I actually ended up tanking quite a few things and spamming Cure V on myself at the end, but it worked. You don't need to live through the whole wave or be alive at the end, all that matters is that you are alive and have hate on something at the time it is killed.

You don't need hate on the mob that was killed to get xp. It just tallies the xp/cruor/credits based on what you've done since the last mob died. You have to be alive at the time the mob dies; if you reraise after, you still won't get anything for that kill. You could pull a doll or pot to the side, solo it for a while, and get xp every time another mob dies.

Yeah, you just need to be on a monster's hate list to score points, you don't have to necessarily have the enmity focus on you as their target

That's what I said, but I could see how my wording might've been confusing... I guess I should've used the word "enmity" instead of "hate" since hate is so ambiguous.
