Was it Watch Dogs? They announced it at e3 2012. Here's the video of gameplay:

Looks very similar to AC but without the climbing buldings and stabbings.

That's the one, yeah! Thanks for the video.

Wish there'd be a gameplay trailer for World of Darkness soon. CCP Games reduced the amount of developers working on it, but it should still be progressing fairly quick (there are 60 developers working on it). It's an MMO set in the Vampire: The Masquerade universe. Loved that game so much. /nostalgia

It's being made by Ubisoft Montreal, the same company who did AC and Far Cry. So there's that.

For all the intrigue and mystery in V:tM, my friends always managed to turn every campaign into hack-and-slash.

At that point I remembered why I ended my subscription. Loved the game, but I came across more bugs like that in 3 months of SWTOR than in 5 years of WoW. If I decide to pay $15/month again, WoW has got my money.

Don't even know why I complained now in retrospect, money comes too easy in that game. Started re-listing stupidly-priced stuff on the auction house this weekend. Made enough to buy individual helm unlocks for the 2 characters I was playing, plus 40 GTM slots, a week pass for the space missions, and still managed to end up with about 150k more in the bank than when I started.

Oh, and also pushed my sorcerer a bit further through Belsavis. Smiley: cool

Buggy game is still annoyingly buggy though. It's going to be testing my patience; can already tell. One thing I did like is after all that time in Skyrim it's nice to have a follower who can actually manage to keep up with you. Smiley: lol

Speaking of skyrim, I'm liking the mage college questline. Smiley: grin

Hey Maz - is Daneland part of the Netherlands? I heard the Netherers are getting a new king because the old queen wants to retire to Haiti. Or was it Tahiti?

Does this affect you? Cool uniform, btw.

Americans...

Denmark is a good 500km away from the Netherlands. And it's big news here, although not entirely surprising given that the Queen is 75 and not as stubborn as her cousin in England (not quite cousin but they are related).

Edit: We are also getting a King now yes, a change from the past close to 100 years or so in which we've had a Queen. And it's been sort of in the works for years, the Queen moved to a different (much smaller) house/palace and the Prince and Princess have been taking over many of the states visits and such over the past years.

Well the boyfriend just left. Overall we had a very good visit. I spent way too much money on us going out though. Smiley: lol My step-dad is selling him a car. It needs a new radiator though, so he had to borrow a different car to make it home tonight so he could go to work, and he's coming back down next weekend to trade vehicles out. So yay for two weekends of seeing my honey!!!

Also I just realized last night that I've only got about 7 weeks until I'm wanting to move back to Eugene. Time to get on the serious train to money town...

So I was sitting in a bar yesterday (Sunday) talking to my buddy who's the bartender about how I'm going to LA in March to see a couple hockey games.

Hot girl overhears and is like, "which games?"

Long story short, slept with her last night after watching the Red Wings game. I also offered up one of my four tickets if she can make it down to the game, which based on the text I got this morning at work, she can. She even offered to pay for a hotel room.

Sometimes I wonder if I live in some crazy universe that's not at all real, because I don't think guys get the moves put on them so obviously very often.

You did good. The other country up there is Norway, but don't feel bad about not remembering the name. It was known as part of the Kingdom of Denmark a short while back. Then the Swedish people tumbled across the frozen sea and decided to take back what was not rightfully theirs, and the Norwegian people, drunk on lutefisk and the prospect of getting all the oil for themselves, decided to break away from us as well.

**** tryhards. But yeah, we're the small country fending off the giant serpent trying to devour us.

I'm sorry Aeth, I was seriously playing games there. I love Danny Devito, and Taxi was a favorite show of mine. In one episode there's a reference to the people living in Delaware state having a debate over whether they should be referred to as Delawarians or Delawarites.

Anyway, I know all about the Dutch people. You live near that wall with the hole in it, right? With the water pouring in? And paint, you guys make a lot of paint, right? But Maz lives in a country with a lot of bakers. Smiley: sly

Of course, I live in 'murica! So that makes me special!

Yeah, I think you live in an alternate universe of hotness or something Theo... I can't really say I blame the people who accuse you of lying, because sometimes I wonder that too. But that would just be so ridiculously pathetic to come on here and lie about your sexual escapades. And I do believe that those pictures you've posted are really you, and there's no way someone as hot as you would be that pathetic. Just not possible...

So yeah, grats to you on finding a hot girl that seems to genuinely like hockey. Those are probably rare, even in Seattle.

Theo took the Barney Stinson mojo and ran with it.

Edit: While genetics definitely play a role, confidence, in my experience, has a much bigger impact. I'm not a particularly handsome guy (aesthetically speaking), but I don't shy away from eye contact, which gets them interested. The second part is hooking the girl once she's interested, which is the tricky part for me. Not only am I a total klutz once the girl gets up in my face, I'm also the type who finds the hunt sweeter than the kill, so I often just leave it at the non-verbal flirt.

Yup, confidence is key. Not cockiness, but confidence. The two are confused a lot.

I learned from the best. One of my good friends isn't the best looking guy in the world, but he just goes in confident that he's going to close. And if not, he'll laugh it off as him striking out.

They were generally ridiculous lines that friends would think of and then bet that I wouldn't say to women.

But they didn't realize that I don't care and that winning a bet is way more important than getting slapped.

Usually it was something incredibly offensive (said to a black girl at a bar once on a dare: "I bet you've got a little white in you." Didn't even make it past that before she slapped me, so I couldn't do my follow-up to her probable, "uh, no," with, "want a little white in you?" with a wink).

Other times it was just me being presumptuous.

That line was a dare, by the way. Hilarious? Yep. But when I was getting slapped it wasn't.

I'm buying myself a nice ring this weekend, first time I will ever have bought myself nice jewelry. We're having a sale at work, and I want it. Totally going to tell people that my bf bought it for me though. That way he looks good! It's purple and really sparkly.

And the plot is brilliant.

I'm not really a fan of it, but art is subjective. I can totally get why you'd like it, just not my cup of tea. And don't get me wrong, the plot is really, really good, it just is so huge and intricate that stuff can happen or a character can pop up in an update, and the last time we the readers saw them was a couple years ago. In-universe, it's been like 6 hours and it's a big reveal, but I usually have trouble remembering that far back.

It's more just a problem with the genre and the MWF updates than anything else.

I'm a pretty jealous person, so if someone said her boyfriend got it and I knew I hadn't bought it I'd think I was being cheated on.

I only have the one boyfriend at the moment, and we're poly so I don't think that's going to be an issue. Smiley: tongue

Besides, I'm going to give him the option of going halfsies on it.

A friend of mine told me to watch the show Breaking Bad. Never heard of it until he mentioned it, but it's apparently from 2009 or something (the first season, anyway), so you Americans probably know about it. I love it! And it's not cancelled by Fox, which is a nice change...

For those who don't know, it's about a high school chemistry teacher - former Nobel Prize recipient - who is diagnosed with lung cancer and realizes he'll leave his family nothing when/if he dies, so he teams up with an old junkie student and begins cooking crystal amphetamine to make some fast money. Because of his knowledge of chemistry, he makes really pure meth, but he has no street expertise, which leads to the pair getting messed up in a lot of awful situations. And then there's the whole "family doesn't know" thing while daddy turns more and more corrupt every episode. The five seasons take him from a submissive family father to a professional and ruthless drug lord. It's like Dante's descent into meth ****, or something.

Awesome acting - especially from Bryan Cranston who portrays the lead character. And there's chemistry in it. Not high level chemistry, but it gets brownie points for including some knowledge. The chemistry teacher in me is thinking about how to use it in class to create some interest.

I'm okay with shows ending. Shows tend to get silly once the writers run out of ideas, so I'd rather they end it with five great seasons than five great ones and five bad ones.
