I usually walk for about 2 hours a day, sometimes it's 4 hours and on good days it's 6. I eat one meal every 2 days, with a lot of liquids in between. usually milk. I don't enjoy eating anymore as it leaves me feeling like I'm about to void my whole digestive tract. I've got knees and a back like someone three times my age, and most of my joins have some sort of pain at all times during the day. I sleep about 2 ish hours a night, which is all broken up unless I smoked before I go to sleep. My back is basically looks like one piece of scar tissue. I've got no job (working on it), no girlfriend, no friends, no car, no place of my own.

The only thing I feel like is a positive in my life is the fact that I have a roof over my head, despite it not being somewhere I want to be, but hey, life's **** and then you die.

Take a couple of tests if you're not sure. I dunno, it's what prompted me to go seek help. I took about 5 or 6 different ones, and they all said "you should go see a doctor," so I did.

Three months of therapy and some happy pills and things are largely back on track. Smiley: smile

Also *changes subjects* thanks for the advice on Lydia. She's staying behind now, put too much of a cramp in my playstyle. Does she keep holding all the stuff you gave her once you part ways? Because right now, she's not much besides a pack mule carrying a bunch of crafting materials and such.

Go get Faendal in Riverwood. Do the simple quest where you get a letter from Sven to take to Camilla, but you talk to Faendal first and he asks you to give Camilla his own fake letter. After that he agrees to follow you.

He's usually somewhere between the lumberyard and his house (area behind Camimlla's shop). He's an archery trainer so you can level your archery easily by paying him. Also, make sure he only carries one arrow, the best you can find, and he will always use that arrow type. He sometimes likes to pick up a lower level arrow, so check.

Ahhh ok, I'll give that a try. I have the letter, but haven't done anything with it yet.

I'm just playing around leveling up a little atm. I ran into the frost troll on the 7,000 steps and got stuck. I've managed to 'kill' him twice, the first time I was able to stun him and I got the "kill shot" animation thing going, but it glitched or something and he dropped down behind some rocks. By the time was able to find him he'd regenerated a lot of health and ended up squishing me. The second time I kited him back down the mountain to town and had the guards help kill him, but I must have hit one with an arrow or something and they came after me next. Smiley: frown

I have a couple of scrolls of fireball for next time though, I hear that helps. Smiley: grin

How often do you exercise? This isn't me being a prick, but similar to what Pigtails is saying, exercise improves mood and increases your hunger.

Exercise, contrary to what many people think, is a human necessity. If you don't exercise, you're actually going to feel sh*ttier than if you did. Even if it's to go on a long walk during the day, it will be better than sitting on your **** feeling like sh*t about yourself.

I know literally nothing about you because I'm a self-absorbed prick, but 99% of the time when people talk about hating themselves and having a bleak outlook on life, they really don't need to.

My outlook is pretty simple: if I'm healthy, have a roof over my head, and food to eat, I'm doing pretty well and don't really have too much to be upset about because it could be a whole sh*tload worse than it is now (i.e. I could be starving, could have an incurable disease, could be homeless, etc). It sounds kind of stupid, but when you think about it like that, you're a lot more thankful for even the simplest things you have.

Sgriob - where do you live? Are you receiving medical treatment for your back and joints? Are you taking any medication?

I will tell you what I have told my daughter since she was in her early teens. You need a plan, and it has to start with income. But you won't be able to concentrate on setting up an income stream (fancy way of saying "job") without getting your health in order. All plans are destined to fail, so you also need a back-up.

Start with your health. Do you have some type of socialized medicine available? Are you already in treatment? That's where you begin.

As far as your feelings about psychologists, don't make any decisions based upon your mom. We all have too many biases when it comes to family, and I think you may be closing a door unnecessarily. If you can get to one, do it. You don't have to tell anyone you are seeing one! Just do it! What have you got to lose?

I quoted Theo for a reason, I know you already answered his exercise question. But look at that, Theo is worried about you. A lot of us are. That means something, no? You even got Theo to call himself a self-absorbed prick! (He said that, not me!).

So, c'mon, a new year is coming. Make at least one change and see if it helps, even just a little. If it does, then make another change. Your parents love you, even if you feel they don't understand you. I just threw my 22yo daughter out, for the second time. It may sound counter-intuitive, but I did it because I love her. She thinks I don't understand her either. Maybe I don't fully understand her, but like your parents want for you, I want what's best for her.

Let me know what you think about this Sgriob. Let us all know how things are going.

My Skryim play style is such that I didn't get up the 7,000 steps for a while, and when I did I had my archery leveled pretty well. So well, that I was able to take the trolls on that climb down with a couple of shots, before they got to me. Poison helps too, or I guess fire damage potion.

Some time before I stopped playing Skyrim I checked and saw that I had well over 200 hours into it. And most of that was just roaming around picking up a ton of quests and if I came across a quest location, doing the quest. It is such an awesome sandbox to play in.

Hmmm ok. Yeah, my archery just hit 30, and I have a single perk point there atm (though I do have deadly aim from the sneak tree, not that it's much help after the 1st shot). Tried a paralyze poison, and it helped a little, I just don't have much power in my shots yet. That's totally solvable though. Smiley: wink

Sandbox is fun after playing more structured games for too long.

Rawdeal, everything I can do to make you want to kill yourself is a bonus in my book. Misery loves company. I have that effect on people. Lost a couple jobs because of it.

Also, the reason I don't want help is because I don't feel like I deserve it. I've got no reason to be depressed, there are people out there with much worse problems than me, so why should I get to be the lucky one? Also, I live in Canada, moved two years ago from Scotland. I'm not getting any medical help for the pain, that's why I smoke pot, it works better than most painkillers I've taken in my life. I don't like people being concerned about me, I hate it when people notice me in public, which is really easy being this tall. If I had to, I'd put everything down to some sort of Anti-Social Behaviour disorder. One of my ex girlfriends used to say that I had the happiness beat out of me during Primary School. I hate being around more than one or two other people. If I meet someone for the first time, I'll get so nervous to the point I have to leave the room to throw up sometimes, this mostly happens after job interviews.

Also, I'm aware that paragraph is so grammatically wrong it hurts, but it's been too long since I've slept.
Also Also, Beer and Boobs.
Also Also Also, Downloading Skyrim. I'm going to see if the Archery play is any more involved than melee.

If you really don't have any reason to feel down, it could just be a chemical imbalance of sorts. A few pills may well get you back to feeling normal again. Smiley: wink

But won't push you on it, must be bad enough having a parent versed in the subject much less us random forum people chiming in. Play with your archer and come back and let us know how it goes; that way I'll know what I'm doing wrong. Smiley: nod

I know I just recommended this to protein a few pages back, but try looking into 5-HTP. It's a nutritional supplement which is the precursor to serotonin. It's super cheap on amazon, and better than any antidepressant I've ever been on. It may help you out some. I got a 4 month supply for $12.

I have my couple 3-4 pints of steinlager.

Also I switched over to Boost from AT&T yesternight. Got a new phone, not a good one but was only 150 so with cheaper bill will pay for self in 3-4 months.

The bad news is I have to go to work on Monday... Half day but still I wanted to work from home but couldn't push code before I left today, well I could have but it wouldn't of felt right as it wasn't hooked up so I couldn't properly test it out.

Still will do a half day Monday and leave early to watch football with friends so its a wash I guess.

It simply changes our perception of pain. Who would have thought pot would affect perception? Smiley: laugh

And I feel your pain. Work until 9 tonight, then on Christmas Eve I have a 9 hour shift until we close (only 7:00, thank god).

I tried archery in Skyrim (and Morrowind, and Oblivion). I like the idea, but I could never manage to get more than a few shots off before I ended up in melee anyway. Instead, I went mostly rogue (lockpicking, stealth, light armor and small blades) with Alchemy for poisons and Enchanting. I tend to get distracted by the sidequests, and level way past the point where anything in the main quest even resembles being challenging. Then I get bored. I don't think I even finished Morrowind or Oblivion.

I think I'm going to get back into AC3 the next couple days, since I have it off. That and PvP on my hunter to upgrade my bow to the final stage.

Sweet, I'll keep that in mind. I picked up the first two at work the other day for $9. They were in a combo pack for 9.99, but I get a 10% discount on electronics. Smiley: grin I should be able to pick up the other games from Steam within a week or so.

Hey there, all you druids
Merry **** Christmas
Put down that gnome you're chewin'
And hear some holiday wishes

In case you haven't noticed
It's open presents day
So get off of your furry ****
And **** celebrate

Adapted from one of the more offensive Christmas songs I've ever heard.

Wow, you've got an awesome writing style.! I really dig the narrator's back story, humor, sarcasm, and the plethora of pop culture references. Altogether a refreshingly different RotR journal (not that I don't like the more traditional ones, mind you).

We've been living together for 3 years, so it's not like anything is changing. Well, I suppose she'll be nagging me about the wedding now instead of getting engaged. Thanks.

So how did you ask? Whilst serenading her, climbing to her balcony and handing her a rose? Under the Eiffel tower after a romantic dinner in a picturesque cafe in Paris? During a delightful gondola tour through Venice? Something even wilder? Smiley: tongue

Merry Christmas, Happy Chanukah, Most Excellent Kwanza, and let's not forget Festivus! Who's going to start with the first grievance?

And grats Astarin!

She picked out her ring, gave it to me, and told me I needed to give it to her for Christmas. So I did.
