I is so happy! The musical director for Grease worked with me tonight, and he pointed out to me that my issue with singing is not that I don't have an ear for music, it's that I lack confidence, which makes me go off key, because I get nervous. I always thought I just couldn't pick up on notes unless I was singing along to a song, but I tried practicing tonight when I got home, and I think he's right.

And none of that ever meant I wasn't poly anymore, so the redditor is a break, sort of. Relationship stuff without the effort of minutely explaining every single interaction that's supposed to happen (at least he's reading relevant subreddits that will help him pick up this stuff - the fiancé that is, well, both of them actually) like human relationships are engineering problems. I'm willing to do it, but I want effortless sometimes.

I need to stop watching series that Fox have cancelled (though, that would limit the selection severely). Just watched three seasons of Lie to Me (Tim Roth is awesome), only to find out that season four was never made and likely never will be. Good thing third season didn't end in a cliffhanger. Well, the purpose and goal of any business is almost always to make money, so I don't fault them for that. The problem is they just have no idea how to do it effectively. Like my examples, they don't seem to know what shows will make them good money if they continue for more than two seasons, and they don't seem to understand that running a show into the ground will lose them money when it starts to hemorrhage viewers.
A good business model would be to cultivate good shows, but end them at about five or six seasons. With, you know. Actual endings.

Firefly is an example of the worst Fox tendencies, imo. You take a solid show with a great cast and a popular writer. Then you put it in the worst time slot possible and wonder why it isn't doing well?

Yeah, Fox almost didn't air Glee either. They showed the Pilot at the end of spring, and the ratings were bad, so they almost didn't do the rest of the half season they had produced. Thankfully, they did another showing of the Pilot halfway through summer, and it got a lot more of an audience then and developed a cult following.
Not that Glee is good television. I'll fully admit that it's a vapid show, but I still like it. It's cute, it's funny and omg music!

Glee is awful television. There are no high schoolers that look and act like the actors in that show. Their music taste is also nowhere close to what any high schooler has anywhere in the country.
High schoolers are retarded. I would know, I coached them for years. I had a kid ask me who Tupac was, and AC/DC. WHAT. THE. @#%^.
Also, my love life is fun. An insanely hot girl I work with is flirting with me like crazy.
She's a lesbian.
