Instanced Raids Gear for THM'sFollow
As you can clearly see on the main forums the new instanced raids information is here. It looks good but what really got me going was the new scepter that is being presented as one of the prizes! It looks to me like a new Ornate Scepter of some kind. Looking forward to finding out more!

Yes looks nice, but I want more info about the job system and how its going to change, is that suppose to be in patch 1.18?

Thanks for the offer, but I think I'll stick with the Ice Brand +1 for the time being...
Siphon MP, Blind, Bio, Siphon TP, Paralyze, Scourge, Absorb DEF, etc all favor Ice Element, and I haven't had enough time to test if using the Ice Brand affects spell accuracy/potency/duration...
I always encourage people to find their own data. In my experience, however, I do not see an improved ability to stick nukes/debuffs/dots using the different brands. All I see is increased damage from dart/silhouette when I use the appropriate brand.

Depending on mobs weakness the different brands definately will crit more/ do more damage, not sure how the +1's fare on this as I don't have the +1's for the brands (apart from making them). I always favour the ice brand myself due to the 100% ice stat - which I 'hope' does affect potency and longevity on casting ice based spell (many of THM's reportoire).
I have Ice Brand+2, Wind+2, and Fire+2. Should I just ditch the Wind and Fire since our spells are mainly Ice?

I would keep hold of anything that high unless you need the gil - congratulations on getting them as they are quite rare from what I have seen. Yes our spells are mainly ICE based but that doesn't mean to say that in the future other elemental spells wouldn't benefit from these ele brands. Just FYI at the minute I have ditched all my brands and sold them ( I can make them though so its no so bad). The main reason I have done this though is cause my inv space on both retianers is so full now!
