Good news is that I already have 100,000 GP. Bad news, I was saving up for all my furnishings 
Signature starts here.
Does the game display a description for the KI when you select it from that menu? Since it's the test server, I wouldn't necessarily expect the description to be anything more than a placeholder though.
Edit: Ugh, I hate this prospect. Cooking GP quotas are just too low for most items.

I don't like this either sylvons but it seems when they screwed with the gp tables/patterns they also screwed with the amount of items you need to get full gp for some crafts, including cooking. Like on FF Recipe, it says you need 3 and a partial shallops tropicale to get full gp for artistan rank today. Well? It's 2 and a partial. I also got 14k gp in two days (I had some leftover; I usually keep a small balance for signing crystals for signing stuff for sillies)
If you need proof and we get a good one tomorrow, I'll save the log. Didn't think to do that today, tho I sent the extra mats to a friend of mine who also cooks; Why waste the extra mats?
Also since I'm not on test server b/c of a argument(Shared account. We can't decide WHO will be on official forum, hence on the test server), I can't personally confirm this but I think that screenshot I stole from BG is enough proof. If we do have a crafter on the test server who can look I think everyone would be grateful. I'd like to know if there's a description too but I'm not willing to fight my brother for it. ^^

Well I finally transferred my account so I'll see about getting access to the test server and check it out. Also, gosh. I didn't expect this deal to go through GP. Well at least I know to start doing GP again on... GS, Leather, Cloth, /wrist. I'd say WW too but I'm about to drop it to get smithing to 100 due to sub job count and already having smithing gloves, and just redo wood on a mule rather than 1-100 smithing and subs on mule. Also I just spent 25k WW GP preparing for the switch so yeah...

That kind of sucks for cooks. The game is not consistent when it comes to what can be signed. Only certain non-stacking foods can be signed.

If you check the thread, it also tells you what it wants signed. If you check the NSFW tag over there (guy was using it for spoiler tag) he was cook, and the NPC wanted a signed seafood stew. (Pic in question is here.)
There is a chance the signed item might be random since only ONE person on the test server got the ki, but we have no way of knowing until it hits the main servers.

(Quoted from bg; Can someone go on the JP offical fora and find the original post so we can get a better translation than a machine translation? I'm looking for it now and will ask a friend of mine who is a fansub translator if I find it!)

Wait - it's bad enough that I have to go convince my completionist self to tack 10 points onto Clothcraft, but I might need to put in 20 or 30 more? /sigh I was actually pretty happy the moment I had every sub to 60 and Clothcraft at 100...

Ok, now that the update is live, I can confirm it; THE KEY ITEM IS ONLY 20K. (That was a good translation, Magenta. Thanks.) They proly used the seafood stew as a placeholder. So here we go. (If it helps, I'm 100 cooking; I'll be updating my guide to 110 soon as I can figure out what to skill on!)

GP item was the same for me before and after breaking the 100 cap (on both cooking and WW characters). Doesn't look like they added a new pattern in for Expert rank yet.

I see these on wiki but I suggested dragon fruit au lait to a friend and she tried logging for the dragon fruit with very dissapointing results.
I haven't tried it yet but my friend has spent 1hr and got 1 dragon friut from Fort KNS and the quantities there are supposed to be common?
Has anyone else got any experience of this?

The issue with Dragon Fruit from Fort KNS is yeah its suppose to be common, my experience from harvesting 2 days.. total of wanna say 6 hrs (due to distance having to travel between points) total .... got total of 16. Got a full stack of nopales.. and why on earth SE did this but got a stack of eggs with letters on them... probably due to the easter event. There are other items you get as well. The most annoying part is the distance between the possible area's.

It's bringing up old nightmares of sweet rice cakes since mugwort was hard to get when I tried to skill on those at one point but I'll make it and update the guide.

Me the problem was getting the mugwort! So I was stuck at 95 for years until abyssea came out and dragon meat became more available.
Tho now, you have to HELM again so it's going to be raining cookies and either au lait or tea until I get though it!

You must have been really unlucky. I averaged one skill up every 4 attempts from 60 to 100.

Yeah, I often went through about 3 stacks of materials per level at the 90+ phase. So somewhere between 1/4 and 1/5 sounds right on average. Wouldn't put it past people having terrible luck and needing more than that, though. Think my actual 99-100 rate was closer to 1/2, which made me happy since the materials at the time were rare and the end product never sold.
