Cannot find a guide or information on this quest. I have started it but cannot find the Wise Miser. Leads?
To start Pugilist Guild quest you must be Rank 20 as Pugilist then speak to the NPC Gargaruna at the Pugilist Guild in Ul'Dah. He directs you to NPC Titinin just some feet away. After the scene you are to make your way to the Goldsmith's Guild also in Ul'dah. Upon reaching the door you enter an instance where your first target Esperaunce is located. Interact with with him several times to trigger the next scene. After this scene you have 30 minutes (you receive a message saying you are bound by duty, much like a campsite leve) to collect the glitters scattered around the guild. Just open the menu and select the option when standing near the glitters to collect them. Once all are collected you are no longer bound by duty and the final scene plays out.
Return to Titinin to hear of the next target called The Wise Miser, located somewhere around The Quicksand, the Guildleve hall where we collect leves.
This is as far as I get because I'm running round the entire area speaking to every NPC but cannot get a scene to trigger, if there is any. Can anyone respond to where this man is?

I'm not 100% sure if it'll work, but you should be able to check the map in the journal for the ??? which will take you to him. At least, that's the way it is for a lot of the other guild quests.

Map in the Journal? Guess I haven't figured this mechanic out. I only know M key map, how can I open maps from journal entries?

On that one I'm not sure at all. I don't actually have the game yet, but from my research:
Go into your Journal.
Default should set it for leves to come up, so you have to switch to Quests.
Go into the journal entry for this quest.
An option to open a quest map should be somewhere in there (this is the step I have no idea about).
There will be either the mobs name or (more likely) a ??? to mark his location or the area of his location.
Again, I haven't done it myself, but I'll ask my friend who does play the game when he gets on in an hour or so. But definitely give it a try and let us know :-) Also check the Miner thread for their 20 class quest, there's some information in there about the mechanic, so that might be more relevant for you. :-D

I can't even start this quest. Im Rank 24 Pug and speaking to Garaguna does nothing.

Opening the map inside your Quest entry will show you where the Wise Miser is...for your information, if you walk into the Quicksand, then exit via the South-East door, you'll eventually run into him.

Which NPC do you have to talk to to start the R15 Storyline Quest? Momodi?
Yes, that would be Momodi, IF your starting city is Uldah - the storyline quest is called "Calamity Cometh."

ya cant do the r20 guild quests til you've done the storyline where you get the companion or w/e.

That wasn't the case for me, I went to do the Pugilist quest before 'acidentally' starting the R20 storyline quest...

ya its the r15 one i think, i was just thinking thats te companion one. my bad. had done the storylines a while before the guild one.
