Where to buy more arrows in Gridania? I've checked out every vendor I can find but can't find anything.

I've tried crafting (hate crafting... it's the lack of known recipes... could never craft in XI), but honestly I don;t have the patience to sit through hours of menu lag to find a recipe. plus what i have found so far requires wind shards which i don;t have. no arrows left to kill more sh*t :/

So if there is a place to buy more arrows, would be appreciated.

Thanks!

There's a shop in the northern portion of the map called Centaur's Eye that sells arrows for 3gil each for a basic arrow. The other cities's vendors sell arrows for 1-2gil.

There is also a vendor at the first camp...I don't remember the name. But he sells them for 3g as well. Kinda nice if you don't wanna run back to town before finishing up your leves.

This is where your creativity comes in. Most mmo players wont share their secrets for making money, myself included. All I can say is find something you enjoy doing that will turn a profit. Whether it's crafting, gathering, or playing the market, it's up to you to find what suits you.

And if you can't find your path, well, that's just the way it goes.

I am not asking for "secrets tip". Just need some common way to get gil. Example.. i go fishing and get some of them... ther eis a vendor than i can sell them and so i gain gil for them?

If i do crafts, there is a npc that will buy my craft thingy?

I thing the common sense say "yes they will". Thank you.

NPCs will buy your items but generally for a much lower price than a pc player would. You would be selling yourself short.

Unfortunately I haven't seen any mention of an AH. It seems SE wanted FFXIV to have a bazaar driven market, hence the reason for so many market wards. To me, this is just a bad idea. I appreciate SE trying to do something different, but it's become such a hassle finding the things I need.

I'd say just make a good guess and put it in your bazaar. Hopefully someone will come by and pick it up.

I've seen mention of an AH entity from SE. How it works I dunno and what its called I can't remember but they have stated they dont want to launch the economy yet so thats why you see no way outside bazaar/vendor to sell items.

As for how do you know what to sell things for you'll just for now have to use common sense and trial and error. Expect this to be a test environment for now and play with crafting and leveling to get your path set for release when you'll have to repeat the actions. For now especially, noone knows what all the items are used for extensively. I have a WIP list of some of the crafts others have what they've been able to find. As FFXI was the crafting is totally left to player exploration. There is no one stop recipe to learn and keep. There is only the box and the combination of items that make something. Better get your pen and paper or wait a good while for an extensive crafting list to be posted on a forum.

SE is notorious for giving 0 information about their games outside barebones controls. The rest is up to the player. You can count on that simple fact. As for now this is BETA so expect things to not be anywhere near complete.

Arrow are as far as I can tell done the same as FFXI there's vendor arrows and there is crafted arrows. As for now I've seen only 3 types of vendor arrow. All of them at the Centaur's eye? in Grid. As for crafted... I'm working on it. lol

The question that remains for me is: Are there Sleep etc arrows that give status effects like FFXI. Those are what made RNG come together for me there. I'd think there will be.. I have yet to come across the recipes ^^

Haven't seen the recipe, but I have seen mention of a poison arrow. Not very helpful, but I'm hoping that will encourage you to keep looking. ;)

I didn't feel like this was worth creating a new thread so I'll just ask here, but is Archer a viable first class? How much gil is spent on perishable items like arrows? I'm very torn what class I want to begin as, but I'd like to keep archer open for consideration.

I have been enjoying archer as a first main. It goes through some gil but I have been able to keep up. It is no problem for me to go through 1k arrows in a night of play. The cheapest arrows were 3 gil then next were 18 for the lvl 4 arrows and the next were 133 for the 14 arrows. So figure it up that way.

To the OP, in Gridania there is a guy at the Centaur's Eye shop that sells early level arrows.
To Jeraziah, archer is a great class to start off with, you can kill enemies fast if you use your abilities properly and sell NPC drops for gil in order to fund early level arrows, gear, or new bow.
To WeyWey, best bet is to cross over to Gridania and go to Centaur's Eye to get new arrows or shout for a level 10+ Carpenter. You can find this info on the site database. It is very nice.
