They originally removed both my Bethesda packs and said they'd refund me. No refund was applied to my card so I contested the charge.

Then, a few days ago, one Beth pack returned (no working serials, of course). The other is still missing.

Smiley: twocents

The bank sent a letter stating that they had investigated, reversed the charge, refunded my money and were considering the matter closed.

Now I have one Bethesda Pack (to get keys), a 20% discount and paid zero dollars. Go go, GamersGate!

Actually, there are a bunch of us around these parts that have read them. I finished the new one not too long ago, it was alright, but after what happened at Chichen Itza, the reds weren't much of an issue anymore, so the new book is more or less just about setting up the new villains. Still, a couple of interesting changes near the end.

As to Joph and is his damnable luck, I'd put reasonable bid in for one of those copies of BL2. The best sale price I saw for it was $22.50, so it would have to be less than that though.

I got Origin just because I've pretty much given up that EA games will be on Steam, or even if they are, that they will ever reach the discount levels that they do on Origin. Like Kingdoms of Amular. Or the later ME and Dragon Age, etc.

And I can't stand not having all of a series on one platform... having ME1 and 2 on steam and 3 on Origin would bug the hell out of me. (I dont' have any ME for the PC)

If you (general you) use Chrome, you should check out this pretty amazing extension a poster on the CAG forums put together. It adds things like color coding for owned/wishlist games, historical pricing data, DRM warnings, etc to the Steam site.

Sounds as though Amazon is working out the key situation. System error in distributing them or some such. Amazon is good about making sure you get your stuff though, the only real time I remember a significant delay was that huge Square-Enix pack and even then they got the keys out within a day.

I bought the DOW pack from Steam over the holidays though so I haven't been following the story too closely.

Ya, I got all my keys now. Took about 45 minutes to get the last two.

I didn't realize there was a delay until I actually clicked the "Order Details" and saw the little warning above my order that there was a delay in processing. Nothing was mentioned in my Game Library, just the keys weren't there.

From what I understand, simulators are quite the fad in Europe. Pent up desire to have this game on Steam probably gave it a quick boost.

With the holiday sales season ended, I figured I'd just ask and see what goodies people are now invested in.

I'm playing through Borderlands, having never played it. I picked up BL2 but enough people said it was worth doing BL1 first for the carry-over characters that I figured I'd start from the beginning.

I can understand some people's criticisms of the game as it really is the same thing over and over but I'm enjoying the mindless bandit killing and loot whoring. Playing a hunter and just hit level 30 (and defeated the Rakk hive) last night.

I recently got the Energy Morningstar on Borderlands 2, which is a sniper rifle that insults you. Makes killing a little more amusing.

Eh, I'd say they told you wrong. The characters in the original game don't really emote, or speak, for that matter, beyond the little quips they make after kills.

They only sort-of retcon them into three-dimensional characters in the second game, so there's really nothing to be missed in the first.

I'd have advised you to just start with 2. It's essentially the same experience, only with an improved plot and more 'stuff'.

For my part, I blasted through Mark of the Ninja in a couple days (thoroughly enjoyed it), then got sucked into Civ V again to see what Gods and Kings is all about (nice improvements, even thought he AI is still comically two-faced). When I've burned myself out on that one in another couple days, I'll probably move on to Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion/Witcher 2/Total War: Shogun 2. Bastion shall wait.

Been playing Sleeping Dogs, spent an hour last night drinking, getting massages, beating the hell out of Shaolin Monks, and doing Karaoke. I'm also in daily life and death battles with TirithRR in Hero Academy,

Aye, it just means that you'll probably need an extended break before signing up for another 100-or-so hours of looting that is Borderlands 2.

I disliked the combat in Sleeping Dogs and dropped it pretty soon in. But I bought all that 96% off DLC from the Steam glitch so now I'd probably be overpowered and ram my way through battles despite my own incompetence. So I should pick it up again.

The combat is no different than Arkham City, just counter, attack during the opening, and shove that guy's face into the ventilation fan. What really drives me nuts is the driving on the left side of the road. Smiley: mad

I've bought a few, but the only ones I've really played were:
ME3 - Good game, didn't like the ending. Need the DLC for it before I play through again.
Witcher 2 - Died in the tutorial, stopped playing Smiley: lol

I do actually plan to restart it. I watched about 3 hours of an LP for the original.
Kingdoms of Armalur (or whatever. I say "Kingdoms of Amagrlrgrl") - It's like Skyrim mixed with WoW, but the areas are a lot more linear. I put a good 15 hours into it so far, but it's a little tedious. Seems like a good story if I want to get further into it, but I prefer Skyrim.
Terraria - I did like this one, once I figured out how to build a house (the first night was HORRIFIC). Stopped playing after I killed the Eater of Worlds. Not really all that interested in hard mode.
Assassin's Creed 2 - My friend got this for me, insisting it's worth it. Haven't even installed it yet Smiley: tongue

I've honestly only spent my time WoWing recently.
