Do you undercut the npc botanist prices for logs or do you turn them into lumber? Do you try to craft and then sell? What's your asking prices for items? Fruits, honey pots, etc ... Let's hear it bots :)

I'm always down on wind crystals - I craft logs if I have crystals, otherwise I'm selling until I can buy bulk crystals.

I sell them for what i believe are reasonable prices based on what an NPC would give me, and definitely NOT based on the price they sell them for - which are ridiculous prices, I have no one is buying 5.4K maple logs.

A maple log is not worth 5K, go out logging for 5 minutes and you'll pick up two to four.

I sell Maple logs for 570G (+surcharge 10%) . NPC buys for something around 430G
Then the rarer the log the higher the price.
Maple Logs +3 for instance, 4K - I've only had two of these drops in the hours i've played. People won't buy these for a while though I don't think, the high quality would be wasted If a low level craftsman used it, & the masses aren't even above level 10 yet.

Honey & such i find it very hard to sell, likewise with feathers - However, there is a clear need for feathers at reasonable prices as I sold 4 stacks from my bazaar recently.

Cock feather 110G - 1320/12
Cock feather + 1 150G 1800/12
Haven't had stacks of +2 or +3 yet, only singles. Would price around 2.2K & 3K respectively.

Crow feathers I value above cock feathers, roughly 1.5K per stack.

Wildfowl feathers will be valuable - but few can craft them with great success yet, I'm not going to bother selling them just yet... 2K a stack roughly.

If you need anything in Selbina I'm your guy ^^

There won't really be a whole heck of a lot of demand for +1 stuff, particularly at the low levels with raw stuff like this. All it does is give more starting durability when crafting and a small boost to quality. Since for most things you are not creating a final product with the raw wood (like a bow for instance) people are not really looking to HQ parts. It can help if you're under rank for the craft. Sometimes an HQ log is useful if you're making a cane, or a HQ branch if your making a wand.

But say feathers, not really much need to spend extra on +1 to +3 when it doesn't help much.

I agree about the HQ, it'd be a waste if anyone were going for + items at such low levels.

However, it's almost impossible to botch a +3 log, whereas it's easy to botch a LQ log. You're almost guarenteed hundreds of XP for a +3, & only guarenteed <100 with a normal & >100 if you succeed. Crystals are rather expensive atm (IMO), so if you're on a fail streak the XP could be greater at a cheaper price from a +3.

Just my view... +logs of Ash and Elm will carry a premium, or should. HQ canes will sell for a LOT more than NQ canes. Same with maple and willow branches. An HQ starting material will give a much better chance of an HQ product. Of cpourse if you want to sell your HQ (+2) woods to me at these prices on Besaid , give me a shout!

It's funny though, I've crafted items from 11 quality at the start, to finishing with 214, with enough durability to use Touch Up 5 or so times and still get a regular item.

Yet I've also had the quality be as low as 36 and it's an HQ without any need to Touch Up.

I can only conclude that I have both awsome luck, and horrible luck at the same time.

I'm not very high, only Rank 14, but I have a bunch of maple logs up and they don't sell even at 1k gil each. Different servers, different prices I guess.

start carpter using the maple if it is not selling at the price you want that is how im able to keep my prices a lil hgher also too wsee what certin items are going for on your server IE plumed willow bow... if the carptners are selling these at insane rates.. then they have the gil to buy the mats at rates your asking for lastly find a sweet spot for willow it is a better seller and faster for that grade of nodes your hitting
