If any of you are familiar with the "broken figurine" quests, I vae a problem. Its come up before beause I found mention f it on several other WOW boards/forums - but not how to fix it.
The quest calls for repairing" the broken statue using metals and jewels from your own inventory and a JC rating of t lest 475. My ton ia a hunter, L85 with 510 in JC
I have the mats,and when I go to compete the quest, The AI verifies that the number are good...however, the red "complete " key remaining grey and will not accept input. I've tried
I dropped a line Blizzard - who respond that don't "hints" (WHAT hint - The problem isn't with me, I've long-since completed the requirements , I've even tried logging or going so far as the disconnect the PC altogether, and also abandoning and re-acquring the quest.
If anyone else knows of this quest, how can I fix it?

Nope. I've only had it a couple of days, alreasy had the metal and bought the jewels - but none of them ever left my packs.

I know sometimes when I go to Prospect ore a certain ore can mess it up and won't allow me to prospect. (i.e. I can have a stack of six, and until I find the right combination of 5 it won't prospect, and no I am not kidding)
So maybe you have a bad piece of metal?
Otherwise I have no input, sorry.

I din't know that. But I'm afraid its not the answer. The quest calls for bars instead of ore. And the AI acknowledges that I have the right mats = it just won't complete

Check to see if you also need volatiles. I've seen some comments on wowhead where people went to repair a figurine and they had the volatiles in their bank. Like any other quest, it would show as complete (you have the items) but you couldn't turn it in without having everything in your own bags.

Other things to try -
make sure you aren't in a raid group
try putting all the stuff in the bank and take it out again
'drop' the quest and reacquire it from the figurine (you won't lose the figurine if you abandon the quest - it just goes back to offering the quest)
log out and back in again

are you in a party or raid when doing the quest? it's a known (yet not fixed) bug that affects jc quests.
