Beta testers. Please help us fill in our database. We need you to go into your WoW directory and go to the WDB folder and send us your creature, item and quest caches. You can e-mail them to allakhazam@allakhazam.com.

Thanks.

yay! i can contribute something to the most visited website on my computer!

Quick thing since i figure this post will draw your attention back... i cant modify my User Account signature... it closes any and all internet explorer pages i have open... any idea what the deal is?

Also, i apologize if my email was sent twice, the page closed while it was trying to send.

Edited, Tue Jun 8 05:41:21 2004 by Tartesk

EDIT:
I just realized that because i have two computers that i play WoW on the email that i originally sent you may not have all the info i can give. My computer however is unable to open the files, ill be sending you another email with the info on the other computer soon.

And ty for checking on that dark.

I'll continue sending mine periodically, and more after I start my Dwarven Paladin next push on the FvF. I figured I'd just burn through all the alliance content and then when release rolls around and I'm playing Horde only with my guild, everything will be fresh and new.

I don't understand why so many people are playing Horde. I've always tended to play the good guys in any game I play. And I'm so not a goody-two-shoes in real life.

That sounds like a challenge! I plan to play either a Human or a Night Elf when I get the game. Most likely the Elf though. I'll help to crushify the Horde!!!

I think more people overall are playing Alliance. I am. And I have sent in cache files in the past, just not in the last two weeks or so.

Elves > *. That is all.

The release of Druids with Phase 2 there seemed to be nothing but Night Elves abound. The first week of Phase 2 in Tedrassil was horrible. Bad lag, over crowded, no mobs for yourself.

blah, I had to wipe my entire WoW folder with the new patch. I had done some stuff in the last few days I hadn't submitted that you don't already have too... ><

Thottbot quests 1114, 1115, and 1117 come to mind, but there were probably others.

I'm no site admin, but looks to me like everything got reset here to coincide with the new patch. Figured it was a good time to bump this thread, considering half the quest by zone pages were empty.

Stranglethorn filled up quick though...couple quick pointers for quests you can group if you care to:
Scaring Shaky -> Voodoo Dues -> Cracking Maury's Foot
The Second Rebellion -> Special Forces -> Colonel Kurzen
Bad Medicine -> Kurzen's Mystery -> (can't remember name, but isn't posted yet)
Krazek's Cookery -> Favor for Krazek
The Haunted Isle -> The Stone of the Tides -> Water Elementals -> (can't remember name, find mage in Dalaran) -> (mage sends you to Catelyn the Blade in BB) -> Pretty Boy Duncan -> (more stuff)
first The Bloodsail Buccaneers also opens to Up to Snuff and Keep an Eye Out
Obviously The Green Hills of Stranglethorn quests are inter-related.

There are others I can't think of, or you don't have all the quests posted yet. Will be straightened out in time, I'm sure.

The way we are set up, we aren't hand adding mobs, items etc. So we can't update something we don't have. I am not sure this will ever change, but it sure makes the admin job a lot easier!

Every time we upload a cache, it will update any item. mob, quest etc that has changed in the game. So get to clicking! :)

So I guess that means we should click on every item we see go by so the cache reads the link? =p

While I'm at it, the following quests can also be combined:

Stranglethorn Vale
Welcome to the Jungle -> The Green Hills of Stranglethorn -> Chapters 1-4
...The Bloodsail Buccaneers (43) -> same quest (45)
Bloodscalp Ears -> Skullsplitter Tusks (indirectly)
...Water Elementals -> Magical Analysis -> Ansirem's Key -> "Pretty Boy" Duncan

SV but not resumbitted yet (for later)
Singing Blue Shard -> Venture Company Mining
...Troll Witchery -> Mai'Zoth
Supply and Demand -> Some Assembly Required -> Excelsior

The following are also chains in Duskwood:
(to end of Sven's Revenge line)
The Doomed Fleet
The Lost Ingots
Lightforge Iron
Blessed Arm
Armed and Ready
Morbent Fel
...yes, this is in fact that long

(to end of The Hermit)
Note to the Mayor
Translate Abercrombie's Note
Translation to Ello
Bride of the Embalmer

(independent)
The Weathered Grave
Morgan Ladimore
Mor'Ladim
The Daughter Who Lived
A Daughter's Love

i was wondering how that was done. thats cool. I like that...

Now if only you could tell me where the monsters that drop the Element Air are at that a lvl 30 warlock can kill. id be greatly appreciative.

Tryin to craft the Robe of Power. need Air and Stone Elements. and a few more magewaeave cloth to get it. ><

Found the Element Fire, attacked the mobs that are supposed to drop the Elem Stone, but, after 100+ kills with 0 element drops, i decided to just buy them.

I don't know if they actually drop elemental air, but you might try seeking out dust devils in Westfall. The only other air elementals I can even think of are in Arathi.

i got my robe!! i realized that i had a lvl 43 mage in my guild... he wasnt doin anything... so... he killed about 30 of the air elems in arathi.. but.. im going off topic...

Just wondering, someone else said something about this, but, i wanna make sure.

Do we have to actually see the item? or can it be something thats in trade/general/guild chat?

does the link that people set up in the channel so you can read the stats of the item go into the cache files?

i click on everything as it is, main reason im wondering is because i want to know if the necklace that i cant remember the name of is in my cache and if i can somehow go get the name again :) hehe. i want that necklace!! it had + stamina, int, and spirit on it! lvl 30 or 31 if i remember right... hrmm... *goes to check current items*yup its here. and i want it!! =P

before i go though, im uploading a new cache to send to ya! hope it helps, if the items that you see in the trade channel go in there, expect a lot from me =P i click on everything.

btw, sorry if my cache double sent, it timed out while trying to send on my end.

When are the quest by zone pages going to get updated though? There is still nothing listed under Feralas, Blasted Lands, Searing Gorge, etc. There are those headers on the zone list, they just point to blank pages.

Takes some time... we all have other stuff we work on as well as WoW site. I was sick and now hurt my damn hand and can barely type. I spend more time backspacing than typing. The hand should be better tomorrow. It's amazing what ice, epsom salts and ibuprofen can do for ya! Now if I could just figure out where this bruise came from!

I plan on updating a lot of quests this week. My goal next week is for mob levels and zones.

one thing that could be fairly interesting is the cache files from my school... about 1 in 15 people in the school are in the beta, and one of them actually plays the game only at the school, maby ill start asking for everyone to copy the cache folder back into the server so we can get everything seen by the school here... that should boost ya up quite a bit, ill work on getting that possible.

btw, blizzard if your reading this...
Disclaimer: If anyone disagrees with anything i have to say, i am quite prepared not only to retract it, but, to deny under oath i ever said it.

the school WoW is actually only used at the school, granted person A is letting person B log on to person B's account on person A's key, but, person B does have thier own account, and not using A's
