  • Please mark retainers on the minimap and allow us to target them by name.

  • For the last two days, I've lost all function of my main character's retainer simply because it will not load onscreen. (The current ward she's in is inundated now since standard release) My retainer is up. Friends can see her. I can't. There should be a way for me to access her menu since I am standing right next to her.

  • Improved searches, both for bazaars and for parties. The current system is hard to use and, in many cases, absolutely useless to player needs.

  • Can we have an option to choose the retainers out of a lineup in addition to the current cutscene?

  • Please add /shutdown, /follow as well as emotes for /grin, /smile, /thank

  • Please make the colour of the player markers in the minimap more distinctive. For those of us with even slight colour-blindness, it's very difficult to distinguish from other colours.

  • Too much reliance on the main menu. Needing to open the menu to do every last detail is both annoying and frustrating.

  • Please remove some of the extra verification menus, such as the one that verifies "Do you wish to log out?", fifteen bajillion crafting windows, as well as the AoE verification in combat.

  • Auction house, please.



  • I enjoy the game. I find that it is not only fun but has some very novel ideas in it. My major problem with FFXIV is how inconvenient and non-intuitive this is for PC gamers. While I understand that FFXIV is a console game at heart, please don't overlook our needs.

    My suggestions so far (will edit as I think of them) (essential fixes are in Bold):

    BTW SE - THIS IS WHY YOU GET REAL BETA TESTERS, LIKE ME. YOU IGNORED PEOPLE LIKE ME.

    Do away with retainers all together - have only an Auction House.

    Have mobs drop A LOT more of the things needed to craft, and have A LOT more mobs spread out over the map.

    Remove active/passive mode and make it COMBAT mode like 99% of other games. I shouldn't have to enter active mode to cast Cure. FF style fighting in most of their games is SINGLE PLAYER running multiple NPCs...this is one player per PC, and needs to be as fun as possible.

    Reduce vendor prices by 75% in the starting cities. This will up crafting and leveling immensely.

    Allow right click to open a menu on screen for anything selected.

    Add a sort function to inventory.

    Allow the ability to sell multiple items at a time without a verification.

    Put labels on the minimap.

    Allow mouse buttons to be used in the PC version. PS3 people can have a totally different version - stop trying to cater to them they way out from right now.

    Allow people to Alt Tab. This is very annoying that it crashes...especially people like me who run dual screens on a very expensive computer. That is programming 101 and this game is failing at it.

    Fix the offhand macro use...it doesn't work half the time when equipping items to change class.

    A lot more gathering nodes in every zone. Make them something other than a ball of light - make them LOOK like what you are actually gathering.


    Reduce quest times to 12 hours.

    Make crafting take 1/3 its current time, and reduce the amount of exp gained by 75%. Allow the player to pick the recipe instead of the materials - this would speed up crafting by 75% or more. Allow the player to repeat a recipe multiple times if they have the materials for it.

    Open the menu for vendors immediately, don't make it so you have to talk to them first.

    Fix the chat window and don't force it closed if you are in the middle of doing something else.

    Reduce monster life by 20% in starting zones, by 10% outside of starting zones.

    Fix experience message for parties of 3 or more.

    Fix experience in parties to a set % of total monster experience.

    Give smaller amounts of class skill points overall, but allow points per successful hit on a monster. Don't award extra for killing a monster - only on successful hits.

    Allow autotargeting of any engaged mob.

    Remove Tab targeting of the player first (very annoying).

    Let me just click and drag skills where I want them from the list, not have to verify where I want them.

    Remove the verification for teleporting...I picked it didn't I?

    Create some kind of visual notification other than "Evade!" via a color system to know when to use conditional skills (such as Pugilist Haymaker).

    Allow players to change text color to anything they want per the notification.

    Allow the minimap to be sized.

    Allow players to use stamina to sprint.

    Allow players to complete multiple levequests at once.

    Allow mouseover of the moon/sun phases to display their meaning.

    Increase UI speed by 500%.

    Allow players to tell what kind of shards they can get from a monster by adding an element symbol next to name.

    Reduce repair costs by 300% (no really they are silly).

    Include the map for that time on the ferry to show the progress of the ferry.

    Make hitting ESC the default for opening up menu, not clicking the icon...

    Make video and audio configuration settings all in-game settings, not via a configuration program outside of the game.

    Seriously..enough with the interactions. They are slow. I have to click to go through a DOOR? Really? Let me freaking just open the door.

    Single key for Main Menu items (i.e. "I" for inventory, "C" for Attributes & Gear)

    Why can't I see the Main Menu while crafting? This is downright idiotic...


    Allow players to get Levequests from ANYWHERE and not have to trade them in.


    It takes 7 clicks to do a levequest for crafts...SERIOUSLY? This should take 2 at most. Have you played your own game SE?

    Remove the invisible walls on cliffs, instead give fall damage for large falls.
