is there a uk site where i can download ffxiv or do i need to buy the disc? Have looked everywhere . theres no buy now banner on the uk site

Pretty sure there is not Dr. Amazon Digital Download (US) or official site only.

Use a VPN and purchase via your US vendor of choice (not sure which other than SE offer direct download). Honestly you should be able to find the disc cheaper than DL anyway.
