Anybody else thinking that with the crystal tools engine running it this will end up having a real time combat system like ffxii and fxiii.

I guess I hadn't considered it. I'm a bit attached to XI's system, but it's a safe bet it's not gonna be identical.

I would welcome any change from

1. Engage, Watch TV, WS, repeat

or

2. Refresh, Haste, Haste, Haste, minor Cure, Haste, repeat

Maybe they'll go back to the majorly classic ATB system, where you can only do an action once a timer has run out, at which point you can wait to attack, use magic, defend, or use an item! Wouldn't that be something?

I enjoyed the fighting system. They seem to have changed the game a lot since I played, but I never got all that bored. I mean, hell, I was a MNK and found it more complicated than engage, WS, repeat.

FF12 was basically ff11 offline with better graphics, the realtime was
nice too, for an offline game, but honestly that sh*t won't stand in an mmo,
gambits take away the micro strategy that makes the game good, and they don't need to be there cause the other members in the party will be real.
