Using the WAR macro toolFollow

Anyone able to share some useful macros the in-game tool lets you do? All my old EQ commands (/assist?) don't appear to work and no one seems to have any insight to offer.

Aside from /say macros about Sigmar it doesn't seem to be a used option.

So, what macros are folks using?

/assist and /aid are the only two I know of atm. /assist does what you would expect. /aid however is new. It switches your friendly target to whoever the friendly target they were targeting. More of a mass heal bomb macro. Aid one healer, bombs away.

This seems like an excellent idea for a guide. I'll poke around at the system this week and see what I can learn.

To be honest, I see great potential for the macro tool, but it is not easy to figure.

For my swordmaster, having Sword dance macro would be awesome. Something like :

/ability 1
/wait 3
/ability 2 (2nd stage of balance)
/wait 3
/ability 3 (perfect balance)

Maybe it works that way actually, I did not try myself, if I find out, I'll let you know (if you do find out yourself, let me know!).

That way, I could do an enfeebling dance, an offensive one, a quick one.... you get the drift.

WAR macros can't use abilities. Least thats what I've heard. Never tried it. So it severely limits what you can do.

No abilities is correct and the icon list is bugged so you only have a few options. It also doesn't seem to like multiple /p /s commands in the same macro --but that might just be my ineptness with it. The War FAQ and help knowledge base were not particularly helpful on this matter (hence the weeks between OP and this reply). But I finally made some progress!

Posted deep in a Warhammer Alliance forum by Aiiane (have to give credit) was this macro that actually works:

/script SystemData.UserInput.ChatText=L"KILL >> "..TargetInfo:UnitName("selfhostiletarget") SystemData.UserInput.ChatChannel=L"/s" BroadcastEvent(SystemData.Events.SEND_CHAT_TEXT)

It tells in /say to kill the target you have targetted.

I modified it to be incoming (incoming %t for us with mmo in our past). I've tried other posted macros and this is the only one (in its beautiful complicity) that actually seems to work.

Edit: You can change the word "hostile" to "friendly". Did this to make my "attempting to rez >> __________" macro.

Reminds me of Pre-2.0 WoW macros that were so **** complex you have to find one to copy/paste rather than being able to make one yourself. =/

I tend to use Mods instead with those kind of macros. IS Assist Tracker for Kill >>> and Think Out Loud for Ressing >>.
