I think someone should do this I loved that video and always thought there should be a newer version that shows off everything that had been added like the newer jobs and zones and such.
If you don't know what video I'm talking about which I'm sure most do I'd post a link but I'm on my phone and its too much of a hassel so if someone else could that would be awesome.

I believe the music and the music video were done by two separate people.
Probably the best person to ask would be the person who remixed the original music. I think the Abyssea music would be a good choice for a trance remix. After that, ask one of the AMV contest winners to undertake the challenge.

Give the guy who remixed the music a cookie, man that was a solid remix. Might even get that on my mp3 one of these days. The guy who put together the video did a solid job as well.
Rocking Phantasy star online 2. And loving it! Hopefully sega get's it right this time. They are having a much better start this go around then Universe but still a ways off calling it a hot contender in today's MMO market.

They had a contest once where they requested contestants to make videos using fraps, though I don't remember the specifics. That being said, that doesn't particularly mean anything about use of said program outside said contest and would err on the side of caution and avoid it, since it is still a third party program.

In 06 during fanfest they had a video contest http://www.ffxifestival.com/2006/contests.html It looks like Recollection was actually the 1st place winner.

That doesn't shock me as it still stands out today from many other fan made videos I've seen on youtube.

Recollection was done by Cruia from Leviathan. He's done a few more. Look up FFXI Numa Numa, and FFXI Hey Ya. He has many more if you look.
