Hi, I am new to this game.

Been trying to use my mastercard from Standard Chartered to get onto the game, but it has failed with the
ucs-60753 thingy appearing.

Would like to know if any Singaporean based players out there, which credit / debit card from which banks are
you using to get onto the game?

Appreciate the help and assistance on this one as SE support service was not that helpful.

Which version of the game did you get?

As far as I know only the US version has the "verified by visa" thing going on so if you imported that, that would be why.

Hi nereida, I'm a Singaporean who also tried returning to the game recently and like you was faced with credit card registration problems. I used to play on an EU account without any issue, but this time round the same card which I used then is no longer valid.

I contacted POSB and what I understand from the customer service rep is that MAS has new regulations in place with regards to payment for online game content, thus payment to certain game companies are no longer approved. I think it also has to do with the added credit card security features recently implemented, and this regulation affects all local bank accounts. What I suggest is that you can try contacting Standard Chartered to ask them about the transaction you're trying to make. They should have a record of the failed attempts and will be able to tell you what went wrong.

In other news, FFXI recently announced they're switching POL accounts to the Square Enix accounts to facilitate registration, and soon we can pay via Paypal services much like FFXIV. This will be in place sometime in July/August, so hopefully we will be able to play then.

Hi Nereida,

I'm using POSB Debit Mastercard to pay for FFXI. They just switched to the new card recently to comply with new MAS regulations and it works with SE 3D authentication. You have to set for mobile phone notification at any atm for the card(this can be done only at the atm not thru online banking). When POL asks you to enter your securecode password, a one-time password will be sent to your mobile phone via SMS. Entering this password on your browser will complete the credit card verification process.

Thanks all for your help.

Will try and contact my bank and see if there's any help on that.

As for the POSB Debit mastercard, is it the same as the DBS new black visa debit card? Of are they two separate
cards altogether, although they do the same function?

Thanks for the replies and assistance. Appreciate it.

POSB is fully owned by DBS. In fact i have to go thru DBS website to access online banking for my POSB account. I believe the DBS Debit Visa will work similarly as the POSB Debit Mastercard. As in my previous post, you'll have to register for mobile phone notification service at an atm and select VerifiedbyVisa during your 3DSecure authentication process.

If you can't get on, put google as your main web browzer, enter a fake credit card, and let 3d secure do its thing.

Then hit back button and change it to your correct credit card info as 3d secure is already done, and you an register and play just fine. I do the same from korea what banned Japanese based ip games

Hi Hi,

Thanks for the advice. Managed to get back into the game already! Woot. ^^ Well, it seems like there are lots of changes. Notably the experience points for lower levels, and now for higher levels.

Seems like a lot of people levelling to 90 easily through the Abyssea add ons. I think SE is trying to encourage
players to play more end game stuffs, which was the initial "the game has just begun" when we reached level 75 back
in the past. Looks interesting.

By the way, am in Odin. =)

Hi Nereida

I am currently in Singapore and Ive been trying to use click and buy and my friend's AUS credit card and it still does not work. Do tell me how you managed to pay by POSB as Singapore is not a listed country in SE's options.

Thanks!
