It gets worse and worse as you progress it and then when it maxxes you get a reward window popup with a choice of item. The item rewards are better (mostly) than equivalent tier gear.

At least it's not the same purpose as Earring of Sad Exploitation.

I like creative items like this. Altho, you wouldn't want to be wearing TOO many of them as you could kill yourself! ;)

That earring was put in the game and given stats like that cause the only way you could have gotten it was to have exploited a bug to get to the mob that was never intended to be killed. Thus the name of the item. Its not meant to be worn but as a trophy for the event.

Also cleverly done, kudos to the Sony programmers who came up with the idea.

They're a major PITA to evolve, but when fully evolved, are best in game for that slot.

This goes for either the raid or group dropped items.
