I found this series hard to put down once I got started reading it. I was already a fan of Tad Williams from reading Memory, Sorrow and Thorn as a teenager.

One word of warning to potential readers. I tried to get my dad to read this series and he quit about halfway through the first book. He said it took too long to set up, and I can understand that. Pretty much the whole first book in this series is used to set up the rest of the story. Think of it like reading the first 500 pages of the Sword of Shannara, only having it actually be interesting. Believe me though, the long setup is worth it.

Virtuality meets the real world in this first in a series. Be warned, Williams is know for very long, think series! But this one is well worth reading.
