Corncerning Firefall. Yeah, Mike can take a look at it now but its probably better if he waits until the end of July, because by then they will probably have fixed the invasion and town capture mechanisms. As it is right now in Firefall (I'm in beta), there isn't really that much to do than resourcegathering, crafting and pvp. But if Mike wants to make Firefall videos right now, I will not complain, but they are in the process och revamping the gear and levelsystem too, so any video he makes right now will probably not be too accurate in a omnth or two... ;P
Eff Hi Rez. As soon as they started tribes development GA went to sh*t. I was just thinking about this the other day, but you should go back to games you did BFF reports on when they were new or in beta and do a like a "where are they now" type of thing. For example, the Agency v Agency in Global Agenda once they finally got it in was ruled by the agency that had the most hackers that week (Hi Rez are worse at keeping out hackers than a t-shirt is at keeping out water.) and when AvA got broken and they were flooded with tickets to fix it, their response was, and I quote "'fixing the game' is not in the cards right now, players should try harder to win." Another example is Rusty Hearts. I recently got board and decided to give that a try based on your BFF report. Played for about a week before the "rollbacks" started happening. Apparently, its something that is so much commonplace in Rusty Hearts for their servers to lose your progress and roll your characters back to the last time they had good data that the older players just mostly ignore it saying "welcome to rusty hearts" on their forums. The devs can't even be bothered to make a post explaining why their game can't manage to keep track of progress, let alone fix it. I am sure there are enough other examples out there to fill a show or two. Allods comes to mind, but you already brought that up in one of the "controversal games" episodes I believe talking about how they decided to make in game death cost real world dollars, but you would be happy to know that now the cash shop item that is required to die and not get screwed over has been made free, so I guess they listened, finally. But maybe some of these other developers would catch on and actually try and fix their problems and start to give a damn about their games if more light was being shed on them.
Also, any plans to look at Firefall, Mechwarrior Online, or Torchlight 2?
P.S. I forgot to mention, but I am sure there are some games that have significantly improved since you did reports during beta or right after launch that might be worth a little blurb.
