Honestly all i see with new patches is same stuff different zone, been a hardcore raider for years even before wow but I think the genre in general needs something to push it to the next level. New instances are always fun when they first come out but after the first month its just grinding gear.
New content is always fun in cycles. Stressful when it first comes out b/c all are undergeared, then easy and just a grind for gear/points, then solo challenge. I had actually been thinking about subscribing again with that "sign up for a year and get Diablo III free" promo, but seeing the footage of the new 5-mans... it's just a grind every 5 months for gear now-days and every role actually has to do homework to beat instances thanks to at least one wipe mechanic in every fight (I miss WoLK sprints).
Also, wasn't the transmogrify stuff originally supposed to be released when the lvl cap was 70 or 80?
I quitted WoW just before Cataclysm came out and after seeing this i dont regret it. Transmogrify? New race will be Pandas?I mean, really? I dont understand why people still playing this.
PVP used to be the plague of the game (PVP gear was better than instance gear and there was no auto group at the time so everyone HAD to PVP for PRPLZ).
The only times I'm temped to go back to WoW is for new PVE. PVP has a following (rogues) but I'm on a PVP server and I have NO interest in it other than the occasional 40-man objective map on double hp weekend. Then there are dozens of PVE servers where most have no interest in it either. It's a bit much to claim that the future of the game is going to be added PVP content over PVE because it's easier to make.
This was supposed to be attached to the panda announcement vid from last week, when I posted it.
