Not a bad game. I only got to play in the CBT for little while and it wasn't too bad. I do agree that controller here is better than keyboard. After playing for a bit with the KB I grabbed my 360 controller and didn't look back. The stamina system is lame, but like you said it's only CBT so things can change. I hope they do anyway, there's a 70+ page petition thread on their forums about removing the stamina system. Of course there's a few insane people who actually want to keep the stamina system as is. How anyone can like that is...well never mind. I have nothing nice to say about those people lol. Anyways, I'll be giving it a shot for sure later on.
For the most part, I felt that it was very similar to DFO. I think I'll wait for open beta before I give this one a thumbs up or down, but it felt a bit....clunky at first. Not sure why, but that's my gut feeling.
I tested the game out and for me it only lasted 3 hrs on my pc before uninstall, That's coming out of a person that has multiple 50+ in DFO. But this game also falls almost in the same category as Dragon Nest as been a Dungeon crawler too, funny too how they came out with there betas so near each other.
IMO DFO = better overall game in combat, Classes and style. Makes u feel like ur back playing ur old Sega Gen or SNes games. RH = Good idea in style but way to ease and leveling felt really slow. and extremely repetitive.
The thing that i really dint like about the game was how its not even going room to room like most games this style , it was more like kill 8 mobs open a mini gate 5 feet away crap LOL
Where is the line on MMOs these days? This seems more like a multiplayer rpg/fighter. I'd like to see if there is anything for more than 4 people at a time to do or even if there are open "lands" where more than 4 people might be fighting stuff.
You might as well call the MW games MMOs by this standard.
First off, dryr1, while the first M may not be as noticeable in a game such as this, it is still there even though it's only in the lobby.
Fony, after learning about this game last weekend and playing for a bit, I've got to say that using the word mouse in any context to controls is a misnomer, as you cannot, in my experience at least, map ANY actions to the mouse buttons. The only way I can play the game is to dust off my gamepad, the keyobard controls are so cramped I'd expect to be playing a flash game on Armorgames.
As an aside, Dragon Nest has been a ton of fun; thanks for turning me on to it.
Nice BFF Report Fony! I haven't tried playing the game with a controller, but I'll definitely give that a shot. I agree that the game's a bit easy right now, but Perfect World actually said in a State of the Game letter today that "the difficulty level starts to dramatically increase once you enter your mid-teens." They'll also consider making the game more challenging at earlier levels.
Perfect World has also received a lot of feedback on the Stamina system and they're "actively trying to determine the best way to utilize it."
