Unfortunately this game IS NOT Freelancer. It looks great, the character creation is quite good, and the flight is pretty nice. However the ONLY thing to do right now is space combat, and very limited "crafting". Granted, I only played a few hours after getting through the EXCRUCIATING prologue. Oh my but if that prologue doesn't discourage nearly everyone from playing this game... but then TBH I didn't get the game that I was hoping for even after struggling through that. Like I said the flight is nice, but the combat itself is not that great. I can't put my finger on it exactly but it just doesn't feel right. You want it to feel like Freelancer, as the flight feels like Freelancer, but the combat feels clunky.

Yay for another awesome character creator that you... can't... see the benefits of while play the game. Did give me a good laugh though while you went thru it.

Kinda funny how anytime Mike here does a review on space ANYTHING that you get a good amount of people asking when an EVE review is coming. Honestly, I don't think Mike could fit everything EVE has going on into a normal length episode.

hmm so basicly Freelancer online with updated graphics and RPG elements thrown into it. (XP, skillpoints and so on..)

I never laughed so hard at a character creation.

It looks really, really amazing which might be a bit steep for my ol'Laptop. I'd think that EVE will keep being my MMO of choice.
