All of these new MMO's on the horizon, some of which I would love to see be the next big thing. But, if any of you are WOW players like myself, I'm incredibly skeptical, World of Warcraft is a giant, with a mult-billion dollar budge and team of the best developers on the planet. I just don't see these games getting very far. DC might be able to pull it off, but I guess we will see. But with Cataclysm just recently launching, and the number of very good things that have come with it, on top of the already solid and balanced gaming engine, sigh, I think they will hold the number 1 spot in mmo's for the next year as well. And blizzards new IP codenamed Titan. The deciding factor in the success of any MMO is its players, you gotta have players and lots of them. People play these games for the fierce social aspect, so if you play a MMO and could go hours even days without ever seeing another avatar with a real living breathing human being behind it, well then you might as well save your subscription money and play diablo, or neverwinter nights. And the only thing that is going to pull enough players from this MMO Giant to make another successful game is a better, less buggy, and more interesting IP, a tremendous undertaking being that World of Warcraft does everything that every other MMO(with the exception of EVE Online) does, and does it better.
