I found the AI to be very good compared to most MMO's. If you try to line of sight a ranged mob in most games it will run up to the corner your hiding behind so that its in melee range. In TSW they strafe instead to find a line of sight that is at the same distance they already are at. I discovered this when playing a melee role in one of the early solo instances. Of course, you can still trip the AI up using doorways and similar, but its not like the mob got a lot of choices unless they add a "wait for line of sight" option for it.

Complaining that zombies are stupid is a bit strange but I see your point :P My impression is that the path finding is pretty good compared to a lot of other games. You are supposed to move a lot to avoid attacks so this is just a side effect and definitely not game breaking.

I agree there, besides arguing that zombies being stupid being a bit funny it also happens to be the first mob you encounter in the game (not including the Tokyo incident). Its like complaining that the mobs in WoW don't aggro if you kill their buddies right on top of them because the newbie area mobs are non-social and yellow.

Soooooo, ambitious, but rubbish.

Except for a (serious) problem with chat channels the first couple of weeks the game launch has been very smooth compared to a lot of MMOs (Rift had a better launch though), I preordered after beta weekend 4 was completed and haven't regretted it since. The fighting system is very solid, allows you to build pretty much the type of character you want (except for pets, which might be added in the future). There has been quite a few bugs of course, but they have been clearing those up at a respectable pace and besides the chat channel problems they have been either cosmetic or circumventable.
Quoting awesomeness.

Soooooo, ambitious, but rubbish. That's pretty much what I got out of that. I'm definitely waiting for the second one, but really glad I didn't go out on a limb and get this game at launch.
I swear to god
