Episode 10 - Allods Online Part1
Allods Online is our focus in Episode Ten of The BFF Report, and - unlike Voyage Century - set itself apart as one of the best free-to-play MMOs out there. We take a look at the impressive character creation as well as the starting zone for the 'League' faction.

Episodes:

39Episode 39 - MineCraft (Alpha)Most of the time when games go to open beta, the NDA takes a walk. Unfortunately, this was not the case this week with Square Enix's latest release, Final Fantasy XIV. As a last minute request, and with the assistance from a fan, Mike B was able to jump into the latest buzz-worthy game, MineCraft. Could this game be the next massively successful independent IP to hit the underground? You tell us!38Episode 38 - Vindictus (Beta)Let's take Fable, strip down all the RP open-world nonsense and replace it with everything we've learned from the past 17 'Street Fighter II' games. Then sprinkle in some MMO elements, some glow, and make it fit the lore of Nexon's ongoing MMO series, "Mabinogi" but call it VINDICTUS...in the U.S. If you read that with any negative connotation, you may be surprised at just how well this product has come together thus far...37Episode 37 - City of Heroes: Going RogueIn case you didn't know, Mike B looks great in exo-brief leotards. Coincidentally, this week's BFF Report covers Going Rogue, the new expansion for City of Heroes! This expansion introduces you to the mirror universe of Praetoria, where the bad guys wear badges and the good guys are junkies. Not sure how this differs from IRL, but we can suspend disbelief in exchange for some superhero action.36Episode 36 - WoW Cataclysm: GoblinsSimilar to it's Alliance counterpart, the Goblin starting experience is completely unique to anything experienced thus far in virtually any MMO. Volcanoes, rockets, giant robot chickens, bank heists, pool parties, oh.. and lots of spoilers!35Episode 35 - WoW Cataclysm: WorgensIn this episode of the BFF Report, Mike B aka Fony does his absolute best to avoid dropping any cheesy Twilight lines, while delivering a questionably thorough walkthrough of the Worgen starting zone! Be advised, this episode is packed with quest reveals, plot spoilers, and... is that Sundae?34Episode 34 - OnLiveCloud gaming? LOLwut? That's right peeps, bust out that old laptop because the folks over at OnLive have just turned it into a fully capable gaming machine, wired of course. But wait, isn't this supposed to be the FUTURE of gaming? Are we there already?!33Episode 33 - WoW: The n00b ExperienceA standard episode of the BFF Report is typically composed of various new user experiences accompanied by cleverly delivered commentary from our extremely attractive host, Mike B aka Fony aka Prometheus ;(can you tell who wrote this?) For this week's assignment, Fony must cater to the 7 people who have never played World of Warcaft, and give them the best introduction, BFF style, to the genre's most successful game.32Episode 32 - E3 Wrap-up & Aion 1.9 (Kinda)Aion 1.9 is released and Mike B aka Fony is all over it, unfortunately, "it" doesn't have necessarily enough substance to give us a full on BFF Report! Consider this a warmup to the big Aion 2.0 release instead, okay? To compensate, Fony dishes on the latest from E3! GG Master Chief..31Episode 31 - All Points Bulletin (part 2)APB is an MMOFPS that is not at all like the lobby based games we've seen in the genre's past, but is this a refreshing change of pace or is it too far out there for players in the MMO field to accept? Fresh from E3, Fony brings you the second part of his report to help you make the call.30Episode 30 - All Points BulletinRealtime Worlds has pushed All Points Bulletin to open beta and, like a true reporter, Mike B has taken questionable routes to get the footage for his report. APB is an MMOFPS that is not at all like the lobby based games we've seen in the genre's past, but is this a refreshing change of pace or is it too far out there for players in the MMO field to accept? Fony will arm you with all the knowledge you need before dropping that Grant, and he's starting with the many areas of customization.29Episode 29 - Cataclysm Pre-Launch EventsPre-Cataclysm events incoming! For this week's BFF Report, Mike B. aka Fony delves into the World of Warcraft PTRs to check out the freeing of Gnomeregan and figure out how the hell Blizzard retconned troll druids into their game. All that and a nice drum solo in the latest BFFR!28Episode 28 - HoN vs LoLThis week on the BFF Report, watch as two nuts of the same stick battle it out to find out which reigns supreme on the hotrod race track. Also, Heroes of Newerth vs. League of Legends!!27Episode 27 - Indie Games from SteamLast week Fony sampled the fruits of the indie gods courtesy of XBOX Live. Loyal to his fellow PC gaming brethren, he has taken it upon himself (and his bank account) to dig through the indie section courtesy of STEAM, and just in time for the 3 Mac gamers who just downloaded their clients!!26Episode 26 - Indie Games from XBOX LiveEver wondered what all the hype about indy games is all about? With games like Baby Making Extreme actually on the market, how can you know if an indy title is right for you? In this week's BFF Report, Mike B. aka Fony squirts through the jumble to get to the good stuff and some serious zombie massacring.25Episode 25 - Tales of FantasyIn his last attempt at playing an IGG game, Mike B. aka Fony found that imported East Asian games aren’t always what we expect. But, after some convincing, Fony again jumped into an IGG title, this time the much heralded Tales of Fantasy. To find out what he thought (and if there were still people in pig suits), watch the latest episode of The BFF Report!24Episode 24 - FarmVille (Zynga Games)In this week's episode of The BFF Report, Mike B. aka Fony digs (literally!) into Farmville to see what all the crowing is about. Does he enjoy plowing fields and seeding fertile acres of land? Find out in Episode 24 of the BFFR!23Episode 23 - StarCraft II (Beta)Starcraft 2 is here and The BFF Report’s Mike B. aka Fony has gone in, played some maps, and… gotten his ass kicked. After 14 losses and only a single win, Fony can certainly give us the highs and lows of this upcoming title. Even if you’re not a RTS fan, you’ll still enjoy Episode 23 of The BFF Report.22Episode 22 - The HunterToday on the BFF Report we throw on our reflector vests and head on out to the e-wilderness in "The Hunter". So, grab your daddy's 12-gauge, grow out that mullet and strap on some... 3 inch heels? Wait... what??21Episode 21 - Just Cause 2With StarCraft 2 waiting in the wings, Mike B. AKA Fony decides to blow off a little steam after GDC and takes a crack at the recently released Just Cause 2. So is his cause just, or does he shrug his shoulders and say "just cause?" Either way you slice it, you need to check out Fony's latest round of romp and see what his thoughts were on this blow 'em up shooter.20Episode 20 - The Factory Floor + GDC 2010Some say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. If that's the case, someone may be really puckering up to our cheeks because we have an almost full-blown copycat on our hands. This week's episode of The BFF Report has Mike B. aka Fony giving us his best rendition of our doppelganger and some tips on staying original on the Internet.19Episode 19 - Dante's InfernoIn this week's episode of the BFF Report, Fony goes to Hell, literally. Jump in halo first as he walks you through the several unnecessary rings of Dante's Inferno.18Episode 18 - Global Agenda (Part 2)In the final segment of The BFF Report’s Global Agenda review, Fony runs through the rest of Global Agenda’s extensive gameplay elements: PvP, character customization, and Conquest mode. But what’s his final verdict? Is the game worth it? Watch Episode 18 to find out!17Episode 17 - Global Agenda (Part 1)Departing the Normandy and Enterprise, Fony heads back to little ol’ Earth and dives into a recently released MMOFPS, Global Agenda, for Episode 17 of The BFF Report. Did Fony conquer all his enemies? Or did he get his head shot off? Watch this episode of The BFF Report to find out!16Episode 16 - Star Trek Online (Part 2)Time to switch gears, park the Normandy and dust off the ol' U.S.S.B.F.F.R. and jump spaceballs first into sector space. While the evil Commander Sundae is busy setting us up the bomb, our brave Commander Fony bravely leads us through part 2 of his Star Trek Online coverage... after we make a quick 30 light year detour to teach someone basic leadership skills that is.15Episode 15 - Mass Effect 2In this episode of the BFF Report, a very tired Mike B aka Fony and co-host Sundae the cat dive into BioWare's highly anticipated action RPG, Mass Effect 2.14Episode 14 - Star Trek Online (Part 1)Space... ZAM's final frontier. These are the voyages of the U.S.S. BFF, and at the helm is your intrepid host, Mike B. aka Fony. In this episode of The BFF Report, Fony takes a look at Cryptic Studio's upcoming MMO, Star Trek Online, and give us the run down of what to expect in this sci-fi adventure. Beam us up!13Episode 13 - HuxleyFony jumps into an upcoming MMOFPS titled Huxley in Episode 13 of The BFF Report. Awaiting him in the game are dozens of "ugly chick" character creation options, above average FPS gameplay, and a whole lot of pwnage. Hold on tight because we're heading into the next big MMO genre.12Episode 12 - Allods Online Part2In Episode 12 of The BFF Report, Fony jumps back into Allods Online for an in-depth look at a number of the more novel systems in the game. While playing his Communist-friendly Arisen clothy, Fony explores the Fatigue XP system, finds some of the more hilarious bugs in the game, and wonders why some NPCs can't seem to find friends.11Episode 11 - Out takes 2009To cap off 2009, The BFF Report is taking you on a behind-the-scenes 'splosion of outtakes straight from the ever percolating brain of Mike "fony" B. If you've ever dreamed of seeing fony with no pants, cursing about his balls, or anything along those lines, this episode is for you!10Episode 10 - Allods Online Part1Allods Online is our focus in Episode Ten of The BFF Report, and - unlike Voyage Century - set itself apart as one of the best free-to-play MMOs out there. We take a look at the impressive character creation as well as the starting zone for the 'League' faction.09Episode 09 - Voyage CenturyAfter spending time in pay-to-play MMOs World of Warcraft and Champions Online, Fony decides to take a crack at one of IGG's free-to-play titles, Voyage Century. In the harshest BFF Report to date, Fony uncovers some of the worst gameplay mechanics he's ever seen, a bot in a pig suit, and then rides his own mother[censored] boat.08Episode 08 - Recap & Viewer FeedbackIn Episode 8 of The BFF Report, Fony gives a quick run-down of all the episodes thus far, which covers everything from Gizmo Duck, Soulja Boy, and some crash reports to Looney Tunes, the Air Lich, and raid inexperience. Somehwere in there, he also discusses the latest from Champions Online and World of Warcraft Patch 3.3. Also included: A dash of some scathing (and hilarious!) viewer feedback.07Episode 07 - WoW 3.3 PTR Part 3In Episode Seven of The BFF Report, Fony takes us through the Halls of Reflection where he finally gets an up close encounter with the Lich King, dies, and then returns from the grave for a little tank and spank. Add in a segment on Looney Tunes and an Air Jordan reference, and you have BFF7 in a nutshell.06Episode 06 - WoW 3.3 PTR Part 2Episode Six of The BFF Report continues Fony’s plunge into the World of Warcraft PTRs and Patch 3.3, specifically focusing on the Pit of Saron, the gunship battle between the Alliance and Horde, and what happens when things don’t go according to plan.05Episode 05 - WoW 3.3 PTR Part 1In Episode Five of The BFF Report, Fony has decided to try his hand at World of Warcraft's Patch 3.3. just played to lvl 6 lol. the sky and clouds look very beautiful and some npc monsters animations are very well done. char creations are pretty impressive and innovative.. however elfs and humans look worse than a kick on the balls wearing steel toe boots !! ...yeah that bad. id say this game is 4/10 completed at best. but no real reason to play this rather than just playing wow. and this days finding free private servers to play wow are cake so you can save your precious $15 month. cant wait enough for tera, c9 or mabinogi heroes to come and save us from blizzard before is to late and partners with the president for a health plan discount when subscribing to wow. then we are as good as @#%^ed!
quick fix.
