Friday tidbits: Hot Ryu, Overwatch anime, and Jamie Lee Curtis's Warcraft cosplay

As things wind down ahead of next week's E3, let's have a look back at some of this week's smaller stories.

It's the end of another week here at ZAM. Ahead of the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), we saw official reveals for Watch_Dogs 2 and Agents of M.A.Y.H.E.M., Ubisoft announced a crackdown on cheaters in The Division, and Capcom let us know that Hot Ryu's tender snuggles and sensitive side would soon be available to all in Street Fighter V.

Not everything can be as giant (and cuddly) a story as Hot Ryu though, so let's take a moment and look back at some of the past week's stories that may've fallen through the cracks.

  • It's been a long time coming, but Final Fantasy XII has been confirmed for an HD rerelease on PS4. Now here's hoping we can get a PC edition out before the heat death of the universe...
  • Speaking of rereleases, Bethesda appears to be remastering The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim for current-generation consoles, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. This "definitive edition" is scheduled to release this November.
  • What happens when you get the same kind of neural network that autocompletes your smartphone messages to write a sci-fi film? Sunspring is what happens.
  • Lastly, if you're feeling a bit nostalgic for the original Dark Souls lately, you aren't alone: over 5,000 fans are staging a revival today by logging into the original game en masse today. Here's how you can join in.

That's it from us here at ZAM this week! Be sure to check in on Sunday for the start of our E3 week coverage, beginning with EA's press conference at noon Pacific time. If you'd rather sleep in, don't worry: we'll have all the details for you!
