Check out this deep dive on Uncharted 4's visual effects

Digital Foundry's latest video is all about the technical prowess we often take for granted from Uncharted studio Naughty Dog.

Take some of the hyperbole in the above video with a grain of salt, but it is a statement of fact that a lot of technical artistry goes into your typical big-budget game release, like Uncharted 4: A Thief's End. Here, Eurogamer's John Linneman draws attention to some of the subtler techniques which go into the game's photographic verisimilitude: how faces flex and squeeze; how light penetrates through hair; how different textures reflect light in unique ways. It's really interesting stuff, if you're an animation nerd and want a closer look at how it all works.

Stay tuned, we'll be rolling out our own Uncharted 4 coverage here very shortly!
