The eight best game covers reimagined through royalty-free clip art

It's not a new phenomenon, but this meme is making the rounds on Twitter again and the results are hilarious.

Images are subject to copyright, and while most companies won't go after you for posting a shot of their cover for review purposes, sometimes you need to improvise. We're not sure under what circumstances these Japanese fans have taken to a clip art program to recreate some memorable game covers, but the results sure are worth it.

They almost seem like games Keita Takahashi, designer of the original Katamari Damacy, might make. Don't you think? And while most are covers of Japanese games (as one might expect), the cutesy clip art renditions of some popular Western titles in here sure go to show that anybody can be kawaii, with the right amount of sparkles and noodly appendages.

So here are our top eight clip art "demakes" of game covers.
