A side-by-side look at Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered vs the original

Two Modern Warfares, one screen.

Call of Duty fans are still a good bit miffed that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered will not only be a preorder exclusive to Infinite Warfare, but require the game disc just to run. Still, it's looking like a slick update on the original, well worth admiring for the time and care put into overhauling such a memorable shooter.

The good folks at Eurogamer have produced a side-by-side comparison video running through the same mission on both the original Xbox 360 version and the upcoming PlayStation 4 version. Minor differences in Microsoft versus Sony architecture aside, you can certainly see how far the series' graphics have come in the last nine years, and the original holds up pretty well already.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered is included as a download key packaged with digital and physical versions of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare's Legacy and Deluxe editions. It arrives November 4th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
